The diagram below shows how electricity is generated in a hydroelectric power station.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 5.0)
The image ellaborates the process of electricity generation in hydroelectric power station.
Generaion of electric power involves various process, river is the main source for producing the power. Flow of the water generate power in station which forward to national grid with the help of power lines.
At the very first stage water is reserve with the help of dam, it open during daytime for the flow of water which generate electricity. After that it goes from the reversible turbines which push water back into high level reservoir during night and generate operater during day. Furthermore when the generator operates it produce electricity which is move out through different power lines, from these power lines electric energy is move to National grid. At the end power is supply for all domestic and commercial purposes.
