Overall, the process begins with pushing the water from the river behind the dam which is stored at high level reservior. Ends with distributing electricity to the power lines with the help of generator. The process is cyclic.

Initially,The dam is giving the role of wall and store the water of river at high level reservior. The water flow in the beneath of dam wall following a narrow tube. The narrow tube pushes the flow of water on the turbine to run the genrator to produce electricity in the day time.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

The response addresses the task only minimally, failing to meet the minimum word count requirement of 150 words by stopping at 103 words. While the student attempts to outline the process of generating electricity in a hydroelectric power station, the coverage is very restricted and omits key stages such as the night-time pumping mechanism and the low-level reservoir. The overview provided in the second paragraph is fragmented and lacks complete development, leading to a partial and underdeveloped response that aligns with a lower band level.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

There is some basic organization with an introductory statement and an attempt at an overview, but overall progression is lacking. The text is divided into very brief, disjointed paragraphs. Cohesive devices are basic and sometimes inaccurate, such as starting sentences abruptly with 'Overall, the' or 'Initially,The' with missing spaces after punctuation. Referencing and logical linking between the day and night cycles are not clearly managed, resulting in a somewhat mechanical flow that hinders the overall coherence of the response.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is limited and minimally adequate for the task. There are noticeable lexical errors, such as 'hydroelectroic' (spelling), 'high level reservior' (omission of articles and spelling), and awkward phrasing like 'giving the role of wall'. The student attempts some less common terms related to the process, but inaccurate word forms and spelling slips occasionally cause difficulty for the reader and restrict the lexical range to a basic level.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The response features a very limited range of sentence structures, relying mostly on simple sentences with frequent errors in grammar and punctuation. There are issues with article usage, such as 'at high level reservior' and 'on the turbine', as well as awkward prepositional patterns like 'in the beneath of dam wall'. Punctuation errors, including missing spaces after commas, and awkward verb forms like 'The dam is giving the role' occur frequently and can cause some difficulty for the reader.
