Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response is significantly under the required 250-word minimum, which severely limits your ability to develop your ideas. You have introduced the topic, but the response is incomplete and lacks a clear position or sufficient supporting arguments. Because the essay is unfinished and fails to address the prompt in any depth, it does not meet the requirements for a passing score. To improve, you must ensure you write at least 250 words, provide a clear introduction, develop at least two main body paragraphs with specific examples, and conclude with a summary of your position.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay lacks a clear logical progression. While there is a basic attempt at paragraphing, the ideas within the paragraphs are disjointed and the text ends abruptly. There is a lack of cohesive devices to link sentences and ideas together, making the flow feel mechanical and incomplete. To improve, focus on using transition words such as 'furthermore', 'consequently', or 'in contrast' to connect your thoughts, and ensure each paragraph has a clear topic sentence that supports your overall argument.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

Your vocabulary is quite limited and repetitive. Phrases like 'new music' and 'new words' are used frequently without variation. There are also issues with word choice, such as 'modern solution for the people who love to listen new music', which is not a natural collocation. To improve, try to use a wider range of vocabulary related to the topic, such as 'cultural exchange', 'universal language', or 'social cohesion', and focus on using words in their correct context.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The grammar is basic and contains several errors that impede clarity. For example, 'some of the music are made' should be 'some music is made', and 'listen new music' requires the preposition 'to'. The sentence structures are simple, and there is a lack of complex grammatical forms. To improve, practice subject-verb agreement and the correct use of prepositions. Additionally, try to incorporate more complex sentence structures, such as relative clauses or conditional sentences, while ensuring they remain grammatically accurate.
