Student answer (Band 6.5)
It is commonly believed that music is the best way to attract people from different backgrounds and from different age groups together. I strongly agree with that opinion because music is a thing which does not require to have same culture or age group to vibe on it .
A good music can attract people interaction from mile away. In ancient times, music was a main source of entertainment so people enjoyed listen music. Specially when a musician from other part of world and has different culture come and perform in their area . Also emperors chose music for their guests because it does not require similar language and culture.
Music is like a template you can mold it according to your thoughts. Beats can be synchronize with mind rythmes. Although, music contains some words from different languages but basic instrumental beats remains same so everyone can enjoy it. For example, now technology and innovation make easier for individuals to find people with similar music taste . So they can interact with them and also ask for suggestions. There is also exemption of age limit to listen music. For instance , Usually when i go for hangout with my family. My three years old son and me vibe of same rap music of 2pac and Big Biggie.
It concludes that music is not connected or restricted to a certain culture and age group. A child can enjoy classic music while an aged man sync with modern or techno music . An Arabic person would love Asian songs while Asian man's favorite playlist is Arabic music.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses the prompt by expressing a clear position on the role of music in bridging cultural and generational gaps. The ideas are relevant, such as the mention of historical entertainment and modern technological connectivity. However, the development is somewhat uneven. While the example of the author and their son is personal and relevant, other points, such as the 'template' analogy, are slightly abstract and could be better explained. The conclusion effectively summarizes the main argument. To reach a higher band, ensure that each supporting point is fully expanded with more detailed reasoning or broader societal examples rather than relying on brief assertions.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a central focus. There is a clear progression of ideas from the introduction to the conclusion. However, the use of cohesive devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly awkward, such as the transition 'It concludes that' or the repetitive use of 'Also' at the start of sentences. Referencing is generally clear, but the flow between sentences could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words (e.g., 'furthermore', 'consequently', 'in contrast') to create a more natural and sophisticated connection between ideas.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing the writer to convey their meaning clearly. There are some attempts at less common vocabulary, such as 'innovation' and 'synchronize', which demonstrate a reasonable range. However, there are several instances of imprecise word choice and collocation errors, such as 'attract people interaction', 'vibe on it', and 'exemption of age limit'. These errors do not impede communication, but they do limit the precision of the argument. To improve, focus on learning collocations and using more formal, academic vocabulary suitable for an IELTS essay.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with articles ('a main source', 'from other part of world'), subject-verb agreement ('beats remains same'), and preposition usage. Some sentences are fragmented or lack necessary articles, which affects the overall fluency. While the writer attempts complex structures, they are not always error-free. Increasing the frequency of error-free sentences and focusing on basic grammatical accuracy, especially regarding pluralization and article usage, will help improve the score in this criterion.
