Student answer (Band 6.5)
Some people believe that music is a good way of bringing people of different cultures and ages together.
In my view, I strongly agree with that because music is a positive way to learn different cultures from different people and ages like young and old ages people also enjoy music together.
Firstly, music helps people to know different types of cultures and their lifestyle. Listening music from various region can gain positive information from them. For example, music always held in different types of event like FIFA WORLD CUP, concert, merry christmas, birthday party, orientation and so on.
So people can enjoy music in different event and also know each other traditional cultures and also respect each other cultures. People can follow other cultures in positive vibes. However, Internet can play a important role because people can search whatever they want and they can see or listen music from different cultures which can help them to know others cultures easily.
Secondly, people from different ages also enjoy their life to listening music. Young people listen modern music and old ages people listen classic music. In a party, all ages people like young and old every one can enjoy music together. Singing and dancing with family members creates lots of memories and strongest relationships. Music also reduce stress and relax our mind.
Some people think that music always not a positive way of bringing people of different cultures. Yes I agree with that music always can't bring good vibes because everything has a negative or positive ways.
But In my opinion, I think music have good positive energy rather than negative.
In conclusion, people can understand other cultures easily through music and music also help people to enjoy every moment together. However, all ages people gather together and listening music also respect each others cultures.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses the prompt by expressing a clear position in favor of music as a unifying force. You have provided two main supporting arguments: cultural exchange and social bonding across generations. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat superficial. For instance, while you mention events like the FIFA World Cup, the explanation of how this specifically fosters cultural understanding remains limited. The counter-argument section is brief and lacks depth, as it does not fully explore the 'negative' aspects you alluded to. To improve, aim to provide more detailed examples and ensure that your arguments are fully extended rather than just stated.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your argument. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'Firstly', 'Secondly', and 'In conclusion' to signal the structure. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and the use of referencing is occasionally unclear. For example, in the second paragraph, the transition to the role of the Internet feels abrupt and lacks a strong logical link to the previous point about cultural events. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each sentence flows naturally from the previous one would enhance the overall coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to convey your meaning clearly. You use some topic-specific terms like 'cultural exchange' and 'relationships', but the range is somewhat limited. There are instances of repetitive phrasing, such as the frequent use of 'positive' and 'different'. Additionally, there are some minor word-choice errors, such as 'music always held' (should be 'music is played') and 'old ages people' (should be 'older people'). To reach a higher band, try to incorporate more precise collocations and a wider variety of synonyms to avoid repetition.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While your meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'music have good positive energy'), article usage (e.g., 'in a party'), and awkward phrasing (e.g., 'music always can't bring good vibes'). Punctuation is also inconsistent in places. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors like pluralization and verb tense consistency. Increasing the variety of complex sentence structures while maintaining accuracy will help you achieve a higher score.
