Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response is significantly under the required word count of 250 words, reaching only 111 words. This failure to meet the minimum length requirement severely limits the development of ideas. While you clearly state your position in the introduction, the supporting arguments are underdeveloped and lack the depth required for a full task response. To improve, you must expand on your points by providing more detailed explanations and additional examples. The current structure is too brief to fully explore the prompt's implications regarding both culture and age, which are key components of the task.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into two short paragraphs, but the progression of ideas is limited by the brevity of the text. You use basic cohesive devices like 'firstly' and 'for example', which helps the reader follow your logic. However, the connection between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and the lack of a concluding paragraph makes the overall structure feel incomplete. To achieve a higher score, you should aim for a more sophisticated use of linking words and ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence followed by well-developed supporting points.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for basic communication but lacks the range and precision expected at higher levels. You use some relevant terms like 'appreciate' and 'peaceful', but there are errors in word choice and form, such as 'peoples speaks' instead of 'people speak' and 'stressfree' which should be two words or hyphenated. The repetition of 'different' and 'languages' limits your lexical variety. To improve, try to incorporate more academic collocations and synonyms to express your ideas more precisely and avoid repetitive phrasing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The response contains a mix of simple and some attempted complex structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include 'music has power to appeal individuals' (should be 'the power to appeal to'), 'it's relax their mind' (incorrect verb form), and 'where peoples speaks' (subject-verb agreement error). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with capitalization and comma usage. To improve, focus on mastering basic subject-verb agreement and sentence construction before attempting more complex structures. Proofreading for small errors like 'foregin' (spelling) will also help.
