Overall, music have a lot of genre, one of those - traditional music. This type of song singing about the artists culture, maybe in their native language. Most of all, people when listen those of melody, what grabs them the most are the lyrics. Moreover, the music also effort at people's age. Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt by expressing a clear position, but the development of ideas is limited. While you mention that music brings cultures together, the explanation remains superficial. The discussion regarding age groups is somewhat contradictory and lacks clear examples of how music actually bridges these gaps. Furthermore, the response is significantly under the 250-word minimum requirement, which prevents a full development of your arguments. To improve, you should expand on your points with more detailed explanations and specific, real-world examples to meet the length requirement and provide a more comprehensive answer.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organised into paragraphs, but the logical progression is weak. The transition between ideas is often abrupt, and the use of cohesive devices is mechanical or inaccurate, such as 'From one hand' and 'In the other hand' (should be 'On the one hand' and 'On the other hand'). The referencing is sometimes unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow your train of thought. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words correctly and ensure that each paragraph has a clear, singular focus that flows naturally into the next.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

Your vocabulary is generally basic and repetitive. You rely on simple terms like 'good way' and 'type of song' throughout the text. There are also issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'music also effort at people's age' and 'old lady and gentleman's loves'. These errors occasionally impede the clarity of your message. To achieve a higher band score, try to incorporate more precise vocabulary related to the topic, such as 'cultural exchange', 'generational divide', or 'universal language', and pay closer attention to word forms and collocations.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that affect readability. There are issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'music have a lot of genre'), article usage, and sentence structure. Many sentences are simple, and attempts at more complex structures often result in errors, such as 'what grabs them the most are the lyrics'. Punctuation is also inconsistent. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, ensuring subjects and verbs agree, and proofreading for common errors like missing articles or incorrect verb tenses before submitting your work.
