The rhythm of the music can also very impressive to different kind of people. If a person don't know the language of the song which they are listening they can feel the rhythm of the music and that rhythm helps different people to stay together. Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by discussing the role of music in bringing people together. However, the development of ideas is limited. The introduction states the essay will discuss both perspectives, but the body paragraphs lack depth and specific, well-supported examples. The argument in the second paragraph is repetitive, and the counter-argument in the third paragraph is somewhat contradictory to the main position. To improve, ensure each paragraph introduces a distinct, well-explained point that directly supports your stance, rather than repeating the same idea about rhythm and language barriers.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is mechanical and sometimes inaccurate. For example, the transition 'On the other hand' is used to introduce a counter-argument, but the connection between sentences within paragraphs is often weak. The referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the phrase 'the music is only the toll from which he can entertain.' Improving the variety and accuracy of linking words and ensuring that each sentence flows logically from the previous one will significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for a higher band. There are several instances of awkward word choices, such as 'very impressive to different kind of people' and 'the music is only the toll from which he can entertain.' Additionally, there are minor errors in word formation, such as 'brining' instead of 'bringing' and 'hug impact' instead of 'huge impact.' To achieve a higher score, focus on using more sophisticated collocations and ensuring that words are used in their correct context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('If a person don't know', 'he will not able') and incorrect verb forms ('To listen the specific music'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage. While the meaning is generally understandable, the frequency of these errors prevents the writing from reaching a higher band. Focus on mastering basic subject-verb agreement and ensuring that complex structures are formed correctly.
