Student answer (Band 5.5)
Music has long been regarded as a universal language that can connect people regardless of their background.I strongly agree with that the music is a good way to connect the people because it shares the culture with different people and get people clouser with each other.
Initially, music is the best way to share your culture with other peoples, the person who sing the music or who write the lyrics of the song shares their culture values. for example, there is a punjabi singer in the india his name is Sidhu Moose Wala he was shared his culture with peoples through the music and he become one of the famous artist in the world. Moreover, people start singing his songs or shared with friends and family after that people loves to watch punjabi culture movies and drams as well.
Secondly, music bridges the gap between different age groups. younger and older generations may have different preferences in music. concerts, family function, weddings, and many other events in which differnet kind of songs is played and everyone is enjoyed at that time and peoples of different ages comes together and enjoy the moment.
However, some people talk about the difference in music taste may divide the peoples because younger generation like pop ,disco, or hip-hop songs in contrast odler generation like Classical music or slow songs but this difference is very minor because many people are open to try new things or explore new songs.
In conclusion, according to me music is the most powerful tool for bringing peoples of different cultures and ages.it promote mutual understanding and strong relationship.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
You have addressed the prompt by clearly stating your agreement and providing two main reasons: cultural exchange and bridging age gaps. Your position is consistent throughout the essay. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the example of the Punjabi singer is relevant but lacks sufficient depth to fully illustrate how music connects people of different cultures globally. To reach a higher band, ensure that your supporting points are more thoroughly explained rather than just listed. You have covered all parts of the task, but the depth of analysis remains at a basic level.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'Initially', 'Moreover', 'Secondly', and 'In conclusion' to signal the progression of your argument. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and there are instances where referencing is unclear, such as 'shared with friends and family after that people loves'. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that pronouns clearly refer back to their antecedents would enhance the overall coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to convey your meaning clearly. You use some topic-specific terms like 'lyrics', 'cultural values', and 'generations'. However, there are several instances of awkward phrasing and word choice errors, such as 'get people clouser' (closer) and 'he was shared his culture'. Additionally, there are frequent spelling errors like 'india', 'drams', 'differnet', and 'odler'. To improve, focus on mastering common collocations and proofreading for basic spelling accuracy to ensure your writing appears more professional.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but the accuracy is inconsistent. There are frequent errors in subject-verb agreement, such as 'everyone is enjoyed' and 'peoples of different ages comes together'. Punctuation is also problematic, with missing spaces after periods and incorrect capitalization. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they occur frequently enough to distract the reader. To progress, you should focus on basic grammatical rules, particularly verb tense consistency and subject-verb agreement, and ensure that your sentences are punctuated correctly.
