Nowadays, music is played worldwide in every culture and region in different languages. Some individuals believe that music is the best way to get close to anyone from other cultures and age levels. I believe in this view because music has no religion, border and people can even learn new lanuage.

First of all, music is produced in every part of the world and listened worldwide on different platforms. By this I mean that however every region has it's own language but music has its own that every person with aid can enjoy. For instance, the most viewed music video on Youtube is in Spanish and it's viewers are from every part of the World. That is why, music of any language is enjoyed worldwide.

Secondly, musicians perform concerts which is opened to fans of music from all over the World. Therefore, people from distinct cultures can get together despite their religion, race or language. For example: a survey from a concert shows that almost half of the fans who attended the show was international and do not even speak their language. That is why it is said that music speak its own language.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses the prompt by expressing a clear position in favor of music as a unifying force. The ideas are relevant, such as the global nature of music and its role in concerts and language learning. However, the development is somewhat superficial. For example, the claim that 'music has no religion' is a strong point, but it is not fully explored. The examples provided, such as the reference to YouTube and concert attendance, are general rather than specific. To reach a higher band, you should provide more detailed explanations and perhaps a more nuanced discussion of how music bridges generational gaps, which was mentioned in the prompt but not fully addressed in the body paragraphs.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, each with a central theme. There is a logical progression from the global nature of music to the social aspect of concerts and finally to language learning. Cohesive devices such as 'First of all,' 'Secondly,' and 'In conclusion' are used to guide the reader. However, some transitions are slightly mechanical, and the referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the sentence 'every region has it's own language but music has its own that every person with aid can enjoy.' Improving the variety of cohesive devices and ensuring smoother transitions between sentences would enhance the flow.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'worldwide,' 'platforms,' and 'communities.' There are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'music speak its own language' (should be 'speaks') and 'opened to fans' (should be 'open'). Additionally, there are minor spelling errors like 'lanuage' and punctuation issues with apostrophes, such as 'it's' used for the possessive 'its.' While these errors do not impede communication, they prevent the essay from reaching a higher band. Expanding your vocabulary to include more precise academic collocations would be beneficial.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('music speak its own language,' 'fans who attended the show was international') and article usage errors ('the great way' instead of 'a great way'). The punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the use of apostrophes. To improve, focus on ensuring that subjects and verbs agree and that complex sentences are constructed with greater precision. Increasing the number of error-free sentences will significantly improve your score in this criterion.
