Some people say that music is a good way of bringing people of different cultures and ages together. I disagree with that statement the reason is unfamiliarity with the language and

Firstly, when listening to a specific music we must know the language of that music without knowing the language we cannot know the culture of other people. For example we are listening a music of another culture and we don't know the language of those people so we cannot know the culture.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response is significantly under-length, containing only 83 words against the required 250-word minimum. Consequently, the task is only partially addressed. While you state a position (disagreement), the argument is underdeveloped and lacks the necessary depth, examples, and breadth required for an IELTS Task 2 essay. To improve, you must expand your ideas into full paragraphs, explore the prompt more comprehensively, and ensure you meet the minimum word count to allow for a full development of your argument.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay lacks a clear structure. While you use a transition word ('Firstly'), the overall progression is disjointed. The introduction is abrupt and the argument fails to develop logically due to the limited length. Paragraphing is not effectively used to separate ideas. To improve, ensure you have a clear introduction, distinct body paragraphs for each main point, and a concluding summary. Use a wider range of cohesive devices like 'furthermore', 'consequently', or 'in contrast' to link your sentences and ideas more fluidly.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is very basic and repetitive. You use the word 'culture' and 'language' multiple times in a short space without demonstrating a range of synonyms or more sophisticated academic vocabulary. Phrases like 'we must know' and 'we cannot know' are simplistic. To reach a higher band, you should incorporate topic-specific vocabulary related to music, social cohesion, and cross-cultural communication. Avoid repeating the same nouns and verbs; instead, try to use synonyms and more precise collocations to express your ideas.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The grammar is limited to simple sentence structures. There are several errors, such as 'listening a music' (should be 'listening to music') and 'the reason is unfamiliarity with the language and' (the sentence is incomplete). The lack of complex sentence structures prevents a higher score. To improve, focus on using a mix of simple, compound, and complex sentences. Pay close attention to prepositions and article usage, as these are currently causing inaccuracies that occasionally impede the clarity of your message.
