Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

You have addressed all parts of the prompt and maintained a clear position throughout. You provide relevant arguments regarding the generational gap, cultural expression, and language barriers. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the example provided about 'songs made to connect people with the vibe' is vague and lacks specific detail or real-world evidence to fully support your argument. To reach a higher band, ensure that your supporting points are more thoroughly explained with concrete examples rather than general statements. The response is balanced, but the depth of analysis remains at a basic level.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Furthermore', 'Moreover', and 'To conclude' to signal transitions. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or repetitive. Additionally, there are instances where the flow between sentences is slightly disjointed, such as in the second paragraph where the transition between the music industry's advancement and the cultural reflection of songs feels abrupt. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that ideas flow more naturally from one to the next would enhance the overall coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'diverse cultures', 'generational gap', and 'language barriers'. However, there are noticeable inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'music plays significant role' (missing an article) and 'music act as a bridge' (subject-verb agreement error). You rely on somewhat simple phrasing, and there is limited evidence of less common or more sophisticated lexical items. To improve, focus on using more precise vocabulary and ensuring that words are used in their correct collocations to convey your meaning more effectively.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

Your writing contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the reader's flow. Common issues include missing articles ('plays significant role'), subject-verb agreement errors ('music play', 'people does not connect'), and punctuation errors (e.g., spaces before commas). While the meaning is generally clear, these persistent errors prevent the text from reaching a higher band. You should focus on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy, particularly regarding articles, pluralization, and subject-verb agreement, to ensure your complex sentences are constructed correctly.
