Student answer (Band 5.5)
Some people believe that music is a intractive way of bringing people of different cultures and ages together. In my opinion, it is not a good way because music is not fully reflect the other's tradition and can cause the wrong perspectives.
A group of community considers music is a right way to bring people together because people feel more engaged with lyrics. Whereas, mostly youngers listen music in their free time and it helps to reduce stress but this is possible if they understand it. In addition, music is not completly represent a culture or community since it base on the audience interest. For instance, if a movie is recording for childrens of the specific group, only that group can connect with it and this film can become difficult for other age groups to engage with it.
According to me, music can build a confusion between the groups of people because whole listers are not directly connected with their traditions and understand their language. Furthermore, due to misunderstanding they may reduce interest or assume a wrong perceptions. However, Connectivity can be build by organizing different cultural events that contain speeches and help people to understand a nation by using the models of different traditional spots.
To sum up, people share the idea of music to bring others together and may be it based on what they experience and feel in their surroundings but I believe if we do not know about a culture we cannot connect with their music but engagements can be improve by conducted events that contain knowledgable speeches.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt, but the development of ideas is somewhat limited and occasionally confusing. You take a clear position against the idea that music brings people together, but your reasoning—specifically the argument that music causes 'wrong perspectives' or 'confusion'—is not fully supported by logical examples. The example regarding a movie for children is slightly off-topic as it focuses on film rather than music. To improve, ensure your arguments are directly relevant to the prompt and provide more nuanced explanations for your claims. The conclusion restates your position, but the overall development lacks the depth required for a higher band score.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. For example, 'Whereas, mostly youngers listen music' is a grammatically and logically awkward transition. The referencing is sometimes unclear, such as in the second paragraph where the link between music and the movie example is tenuous. While there is a logical progression from the introduction to the conclusion, the flow between sentences is frequently interrupted by awkward phrasing and misuse of linking words like 'Whereas' and 'According to me'.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range needed for higher bands. There are several instances of incorrect word choice or collocation, such as 'intractive way' (likely meaning interactive), 'not fully reflect' (should be 'does not fully reflect'), and 'base on' (should be 'is based on'). You also use 'listers' instead of 'listeners' and 'knowledgable' instead of 'knowledgeable'. While the meaning is generally clear, the frequent errors in word formation and collocation prevent a higher score. Expanding your vocabulary to include more precise academic terms would be beneficial.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('music is not fully reflect'), missing articles, and incorrect verb forms ('Connectivity can be build'). Punctuation is generally functional, but sentence construction is often clunky. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence patterns and ensuring that subject-verb agreement and verb tenses are consistent throughout your writing. Reducing these frequent errors will significantly improve the readability of your work.
