Some people advocate that music is a social tool that can effectively unit the residents from different demography. I completely agree with this assertion because music is not only help individuals to improve their social connection, but also music can reduce any social barriers with the rapid advancements of modern technologies.

First and foremost, there are several reasons why I hold this view. One possible reason is that music easily connect people from different regions. These days, people are suffering from various social isolation problems. By arranging concerts or other musical festivals, people can overcome their social isolation. By singing or listening musics people can share their thoughts, a nation can promote their cultures and heritages to the world. Music festivals are a great way fund rising. For example, during the liberation war of Banladesh, a famous concert "Concert for Bangladesh" had generated huge amount of money for supporting Bangladeshi refugees in India.

Furthermore, nowadays, rapid technological efficiency is helping music to wide-spreade. Therefore, individuals can easily access to any music from any regions of the world. As a result, they can easily connect with the thought of different people, which is ultimately plays a significant role to bring people of different cultures and ages together. Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses the prompt by expressing a clear position in favor of music as a social tool. The ideas are relevant, such as the role of music in overcoming isolation and the impact of technology. However, the development is somewhat uneven. While the example of the 'Concert for Bangladesh' is specific, other points, such as the mention of 'Coke Studio Bangla,' are a bit underdeveloped in terms of how they specifically bridge age gaps, which is a key part of the prompt. The response covers all parts of the task, but the depth of analysis could be improved to reach a higher band.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs with a clear introduction and conclusion. Cohesive devices such as 'First and foremost,' 'Furthermore,' and 'In conclusion' are used to guide the reader. However, the flow within paragraphs is occasionally mechanical, and some transitions feel slightly repetitive. Referencing is generally clear, though the connection between the ideas in the second paragraph could be smoother. Overall, the progression of ideas is logical, and the paragraphing is appropriate for the task.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express their ideas clearly. There are some attempts at less common vocabulary, such as 'advocate,' 'demography,' and 'liberation war.' However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and minor errors, such as 'unit' instead of 'unite,' 'musics' (which is uncountable), and 'wide-spreade' (incorrect form). These errors do not impede communication, but they indicate a need for more precise control over word forms and collocations to reach a higher band.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the writer attempts complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors, such as 'music is not only help' (should be 'not only helps'), 'which is ultimately plays' (should be 'which ultimately plays'), and 'can easily access to' (should be 'can easily access'). Punctuation is generally acceptable, but the frequency of these grammatical slips prevents the essay from achieving a higher score. The majority of sentences are understandable, but the control over complex structures is inconsistent.
