Student answer (Band 5.5)

One of the most widely debted issues is over music. Opinions are sharply divided on weather music is a beneficail approach in order to bring citizens of several clutures and ages together or not. From my perespictive, I firmly agree that music can be used to bring indivaduals together due to several reasons.

One compelling argument in favor of this view is commencing getting to know more and mor about other nationalities. Numerous indivaduals are into other traditions yet they have never heared about spesific countries. Therefor thier knowledge over cultures is limited. One method can be applied in order to adress this issue might be muisc. Since people are always holding thier phones there is a extensive percentage that they may listen to a particular song wich introduces them to a whole country coustem.

opponents of this view maintain that a substantail number of humans might take a wrong point of view about a specific culture due to a single song that doesn't present the song's socitey. This perspective fails to consider the broader implications of the fundemental clue that almost all adults are aware addtionaly they will not judje a tradition depending on one or two songs wich are inappropriate.

Taking everything into account, This concept of music and culture is one of the most highly contrivarsial discussions that everyone is still nigotiate over until these days. I strongly agree that music can introduce to the world. Moreover this approach promots sustainable foster and benefits the socitey as whole.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position in favor of music as a tool for cultural and generational unity. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention that music introduces people to new cultures, the explanation remains superficial. The counter-argument regarding potential misconceptions is introduced but not fully explored or refuted with strong evidence. To improve, ensure that each body paragraph contains a clear topic sentence followed by a detailed example or logical explanation that directly supports your thesis. The conclusion is a bit repetitive and could be strengthened by summarizing the main points more effectively rather than just restating your position.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your argument. You use some cohesive devices like 'One compelling argument,' 'Therefor,' and 'Taking everything into account.' However, the flow is occasionally hindered by mechanical transitions and some awkward phrasing. For instance, the connection between the idea of 'phones' and 'cultural knowledge' is a bit abrupt. Additionally, there are some spelling errors in linking words (e.g., 'Therefor' instead of 'Therefore') that slightly disrupt the flow. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider variety of cohesive devices more naturally and ensure that the progression of ideas within paragraphs is smoother.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but there are frequent spelling errors throughout the essay, such as 'debted' (debated), 'weather' (whether), 'beneficail' (beneficial), 'clutures' (cultures), 'perespictive' (perspective), 'indivaduals' (individuals), 'heared' (heard), 'spesific' (specific), 'adress' (address), 'muisc' (music), 'coustem' (custom), 'substantail' (substantial), 'socitey' (society), 'fundemental' (fundamental), 'judje' (judge), 'contrivarsial' (controversial), and 'nigotiate' (negotiate). These errors are frequent and occasionally distract the reader. While you attempt to use some topic-specific vocabulary, the high frequency of spelling mistakes limits your score. Focus on proofreading your work to eliminate these basic errors and try to incorporate more precise academic collocations.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, which is a positive step. However, there are frequent grammatical errors that occur throughout the text, such as 'knowledge over cultures' (knowledge of cultures), 'a extensive percentage' (an extensive percentage), and 'promots sustainable foster' (promotes sustainable fostering). Subject-verb agreement and article usage are also inconsistent. While these errors do not completely prevent the reader from understanding your message, they are frequent enough to impact the overall clarity. To improve, practice identifying and correcting common errors in your writing, particularly with prepositions, articles, and verb forms.
