Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The essay addresses the prompt by discussing how music bridges cultural and generational gaps. You clearly state your position in the introduction and support it with three distinct body paragraphs focusing on emotional commonality, digital access, and live festivals. While the ideas are relevant, some points could be developed further; for instance, the claim that 'people always eager to listen to music based on their emotion' is a bit vague. To reach a higher band, ensure that your supporting examples are more specific and fully explained to demonstrate a deeper exploration of the topic. Overall, the response is well-structured and directly answers the question.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. You use transition signals such as 'Firstly', 'Furthermore', 'Also', and 'Lastly' to guide the reader through your arguments. However, some of these transitions feel slightly mechanical. Additionally, the referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the sentence 'A music that is loved by a 10 years old child can also be liked by a 60 years old man', where the phrasing is a bit clunky. Improving the flow between sentences and using a wider variety of cohesive devices would enhance the overall readability and coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'confined', 'renowned', and 'pathway'. However, there are some issues with word choice and collocation that prevent a higher score. For example, 'magical voice of music' is slightly unnatural, and 'unlimited access of it' should be 'unlimited access to it'. You also repeat the word 'music' frequently, which limits your lexical variety. To improve, try to incorporate more precise synonyms and collocations related to the topic of culture and social connection, and work on using words in their correct grammatical context.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Examples include 'Music works like a tool for refreshing' (should be 'refreshment'), 'people always eager' (missing the verb 'are'), and 'listen to music to their own culture' (should be 'listen to music from their own culture'). While these errors do not impede communication, they are noticeable and occur regularly. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement, correct preposition usage, and ensuring that your complex sentences are constructed accurately without missing auxiliary verbs.
