Student answer (Band 5.5)
A few decades ago, people are not much familiar with the music as they spend most of the time with their families gathering. Now a day, as technology of mobile phone rapidly increases where people can have the conversations, listen to music, watch YouTube shows. Some people say that music is a good way of bringing people of different cultures and ages together. I firmly believe with this idea of bringing people of different cultures and ages together.
The Music is the most favorite entertainment all over the world, Music gives them a pleasure while driving, boost the energy in physical activities, expressing the emotions towards opposite gender and this is not dependent of any certain ages, Music is being like all ages. Furthermore, all the people enjoy it, so it is the best way to gathers people of different cultures and ages. However, now adays there are very less gathering of people as they had their conversation through mobile phones. people usually spending most of the time watching series, while children addicted to the games. so, music helps bringing people together like playing some tunes which would like by some culture or some traditional music where people can spend most of time, having conversations, sharing ideas, expressing emotions, moreover which also help the adults to relax preventing from any health issues like heart attacks, overthinking. Music can also help to prevent from any conflicts between different cultures. Different cultures having their own traditional festivals, However Music can bring all the different cultures together in each of their festivals which increased brotherhood among them.
To sum up, in my opinion this could be the best way of bringing people all together of different cultures and ages, because music helps them to build their relationship strong, prevent from conflicts of different cultures, as well as it creates a strong bond among all ages.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
You have addressed the prompt by expressing a clear position in favor of the idea that music brings people together. However, the development of your ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention benefits like 'brotherhood' and 'relaxing', the arguments are repetitive and lack specific, concrete examples to support your claims. For instance, you mention 'traditional festivals' but do not explain how music specifically facilitates interaction during these events. To improve, focus on expanding your main points with detailed explanations or real-world examples rather than listing multiple benefits in a single sentence.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your structure. However, the flow of ideas is often disjointed. You use some cohesive devices like 'Furthermore' and 'However', but they are sometimes used incorrectly or in a way that does not logically connect the preceding and following sentences. For example, the transition between the discussion of mobile phones and the benefits of music is abrupt. Additionally, the referencing is occasionally unclear, making it difficult to track the subject matter across sentences.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but remains quite basic. You rely on simple, repetitive terms such as 'good', 'people', and 'music'. There are also some issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'Music is being like all ages' and 'prevent from any health issues'. To reach a higher band, you should aim to use more precise vocabulary and collocations, such as 'universal appeal' instead of 'favorite entertainment' or 'foster social cohesion' instead of 'bringing people together'.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text that occasionally impede clarity. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'people are not much familiar'), tense inconsistencies (e.g., 'people usually spending'), and incorrect sentence structures (e.g., 'this is not dependent of any certain ages'). While you attempt some complex sentences, they often contain errors that affect the overall accuracy. Focusing on basic sentence construction and ensuring correct verb forms would significantly improve your score.
