Student answer (Band 6.0)
Music a very good way of for one to calm his mind, spend his time & whatsoever. Some people say that music is a great way to boing people of different cultures & ages together. In my opinion, in larger extent, I believe it is a good way to bring people of different cultures & ages together.
Music is known as a universal language to express the emotions & feeling through words. Sometimes, it also creates a vibe that most of the people loves. That vibe is a common factor between two strangers. So, it could be a way to make them interact with each other & become friend. It is the same for a large amount of people or group who has same vibe & energy. These people can be from different cultures & may vary with age. But music did helped them in bringing them together. May be many more people believe in that too because if it wasn't correct, there would not be so many big concerts of music artists.
Meanwhile, if the age difference is a bit much, then the taste of music may change. It also changes due to the personality of a person. Due to that factor, some people may not like the other. So, they can be separated because of their music taste. If the music is not liked by everyone, then it could not bring people together.
As per my view, music helps a lot bringing people together. People with same energy & vibe are brought together by it. It is seen that many people have created their friends group or community through a party club or music concerts & many more.
To conclude, I would say that bringing people of different cultures & different age depends on the taste of their music. So, music can help them either to be together or be filtered out.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. You have identified the main idea—that music acts as a universal language—and provided relevant arguments regarding social bonding and the influence of musical taste. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. For example, the point about age differences and musical taste is introduced but not fully explored or supported with concrete examples. To reach a higher band, ensure that each paragraph contains a well-developed explanation and a specific example that directly supports your thesis. The conclusion is clear, but the overall argument would benefit from more depth and nuance.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. You use some cohesive devices, such as 'Meanwhile', 'As per my view', and 'To conclude', which help guide the reader. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and the use of referencing is occasionally imprecise, such as in the phrase 'that vibe is a common factor'. Additionally, some transitions feel abrupt. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each sentence flows naturally into the next will help improve the overall coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary used is generally adequate for the task, but it lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. You rely on informal or repetitive phrasing, such as 'vibe', 'whatsoever', and 'good way'. There are also some awkward collocations, such as 'boing people' (likely a typo for 'bringing') and 'filtered out'. To improve, you should aim to use more academic vocabulary and precise collocations. Avoid informal fillers and try to incorporate more sophisticated synonyms to express your ideas more effectively.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow. Examples include 'Music a very good way of for one to calm his mind', 'group who has same vibe', and 'music did helped them'. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the use of ampersands (&) instead of the word 'and', which is inappropriate for an academic essay. While the meaning is generally clear, the frequency of these errors suggests a need for more careful proofreading and a better grasp of subject-verb agreement and sentence construction.
