Student answer (Band 5.0)

Music is consider one of the good ways that brings people from different countries , cultures and age groups are.

I strongly agree because music can learns you diffrent culture s and shared your music taste amoung people with diffrent ages

One reason for that, the Music can overcome cultural and language difficulties because people can enjoy the music even if they don't understand or speak the same language for example K-pop fans from different countries share same taste. Moreover some people use music to practice language so it gives them opportunity to shadowing and improv thier skills and at the same time having fun while lisitining. However music encourge cultural exchange to share your experience and learn the culture for the another country

Another reason could be people from the same age sharing the same taste of music. parents and children can enjoy the same songs or attending concert for the same artisit not only but also older people can introduce traditional art to the yonuger genrations as a result, they will create opportunities to communicate more about the experince and share it

To sum up, I strongly agree that music is one of the main reasons to brings people from different countries for same purpose just having fun together

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt by expressing a clear position in favor of music as a unifying force. However, the essay fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, reaching only 211 words. This significantly impacts the development of ideas, as the arguments remain somewhat superficial and lack sufficient supporting detail or depth. While the main points regarding cultural exchange and generational connection are relevant, they are not fully extended. To improve, you must expand your explanations with more specific examples and ensure you meet the length requirement to allow for a more comprehensive discussion of the topic.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the progression of ideas. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate, such as the awkward transition 'not only but also' and the repetitive use of 'another reason'. Some sentences lack logical flow, particularly in the introduction and the final paragraph, where the connection between ideas is weak. Referencing is sometimes unclear, and the overall structure feels slightly disjointed. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and phrases more naturally to connect your sentences and paragraphs effectively.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and repetitive, often relying on basic terms. There are frequent spelling errors, such as 'diffrent', 'amoung', 'improv', 'lisitining', 'encourge', and 'artisit', which occasionally impede readability. The range of vocabulary is insufficient to express complex ideas with precision. While the meaning is generally conveyed, the lack of variety and the high frequency of errors in word choice and spelling prevent a higher score. To improve, focus on learning topic-specific vocabulary related to culture and social interaction, and proofread your work carefully to correct basic spelling mistakes.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('Music is consider', 'music can learns you'), incorrect word forms ('diffrent culture s'), and punctuation errors. These errors are persistent and sometimes make the meaning difficult to follow. While you attempt to use complex structures, they are often faulty. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, subject-verb agreement, and verb tenses before attempting more complex grammatical forms. Regular practice with grammar exercises will help reduce the frequency of these errors.
