Student answer (Band 5.0)
Few masses say that music is a good way of bringing people of various cultures and ages get- together. I agree with this statement because of improve communication and different ages.
On the one hand, the major reason for my approval that is enhance communication. This is due to the fact that mostly people gather at live concert and other musical events. It is better idea to meet different culture people and they can talk about their tradition and culture and fun together. Also, it improve communication and build relationship. For instance, In my country mostly people gather at amritsar and enjoy together also promote their goods and services. Its beneficial to their work or life. Therefore, people can know another culture person and their traditions.
On the other hand, the significant point in its favour is different ages. To elaborate, when people gather at music events its beneficial for all ages because its allowed to everyone listen music and enjoy. All ages people come and enjoy together and forget their worries. Also, some people suffering the diseases but when they listen music they forget their stress and fun get-together.Thus, people felt positive thongs and motivated.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by expressing agreement that music brings people of different cultures and ages together, presenting two main supporting areas: communication and age inclusivity. However, the ideas are repetitive and underdeveloped. Furthermore, the length requirement is not met, as the response contains only 235 words, falling short of the 250-word minimum, which leads to a penalty under Task Achievement. While the position is clear, the supporting examples lack sufficient detail and depth. For instance, the example regarding Amritsar is brief and lacks elaboration on how it specifically fosters cultural and generational connection. To achieve a higher band, the writer needs to fully develop each supporting argument with extended explanations and meet the minimum word count.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The essay displays some organizational structure with a clear introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is attempted, though the logical progression is hindered by repetitive phrasing and weak cohesive devices. Transitional markers such as On the one hand, On the other hand, and To conclude are used, but intermediate cohesive links are frequently mechanical, inaccurate, or missing. For example, sentences within body paragraphs often lack smooth transitions, leading to a disjointed reading experience. Referencing is sometimes unclear, such as ambiguous pronoun use (e.g., its beneficial for all ages because its allowed to everyone listen music). Overall, the progression lacks clear, natural flow, aligning closely with the Band 5 descriptors.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is basic, repetitive, and restricted in range, which limits the expression of ideas. The writer frequently repeats terms like music, cultures, ages, and enjoy. There are noticeable lexical errors and inappropriate word choices throughout the text, such as Few masses say instead of Some people, get- together used as a noun, and positive thongs instead of positive thoughts. Other errors include suffering the diseases instead of suffering from illnesses or diseases. These lexical inaccuracies and limitations create noticeable strain for the reader and reflect a restricted vocabulary suitable for a Band 5 level.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The student attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but control over grammar is weak. There are frequent errors in tense, subject-verb agreement, article use, and prepositional phrasing. Examples of grammatical flaws include because of improve communication (gerund needed: improving), when people gather at music events its beneficial (missing punctuation and apostrophe), and live a according to their interest. These errors occur frequently and occasionally impede communication or distract the reader. Complex sentence attempts are often faulty, and basic sentence patterns dominate the text. Consequently, the grammatical performance sits firmly at Band 5.
