Student answer (Band 5.5)
Some individual people say that music plays a vital role to explore differnent types of cultures and connect different age group. I partially agree with this statement because it can readues cultural differences and although people from different generations may have different preferences.
On the one hand , music is effective way to connect people from different culture. Nowadays , people can listen different countries song on different social media platforms. By listening to foreign music people can learn foreign languages, traditions and lifestyle of other communities. Many young people in nepal listen Korean and hindi song even they don't understand each and every word. They can still listen and enjoy their vibe and interested those culture. Therefore music can creates a sense of connection between people from different backgrounds.
On the other hand, Music may not always bring people of differnt ages together. One reason is that people from different generations often have different music tastes. For instance Young people may prefer modern rap ,pop song or electronic music whereas old people prefer traditional cultural and old songs. Because of these Family members from different ages group may not enyot the same type song . Nevertheless, Some somgs and musical events can still be enjoyed people of all ages, especially traditional songs and cultural songs.
In conclusion , I partly agree that music brings people together. It is particularly useful for connecting people from different cultures but differnces in musical prefences can make it more difficult to connect people from different generations.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses all parts of the prompt by discussing both the cultural and generational aspects of music and presenting a clear partial position. The ideas are relevant and generally supported with examples, such as mentioning young people in Nepal listening to Korean and Hindi songs. However, some arguments remain slightly under-developed, and there are occasional generalisations, which places the response firmly at Band 6.0. The writer successfully covers the extent to which they agree and disagree, fulfilling the core task requirements.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement with a clear paragraph structure, including an introduction, two body paragraphs representing both sides of the argument, and a conclusion. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'On the one hand' and 'On the other hand', though referencing is sometimes faulty and punctuation before cohesive markers is occasionally inaccurate. Paragraphing is used sufficiently, but the flow between sentences could be smoother. These characteristics align well with the Band 6 descriptor.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting less common items like 'vibe' and 'preferences'. However, there are numerous spelling and word-choice errors, such as 'differnent', 'readues', 'enyot', and 'somgs'. While these errors do not seriously impede communication, they point toward a Band 5.5 performance, where noticeable lexical limitations and inaccuracies restrict the score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating some command of sentence structure. However, frequent grammatical errors are present, including subject-verb agreement issues (e.g., 'music can creates'), missing prepositions, and awkward phrasing such as 'interested those culture'. Punctuation errors are also notable, including spaces before commas. These errors can cause occasional difficulty for the reader, fitting the Band 5.5 profile.
