Student answer (Band 5.0)

It is argued by some individuals that music is a great way of fetching people of separate traditionals and ages combine. From my prospective, I partially agree with this view, as most of the people have separate taste in music in contrast to others.

On one hand, music is the best way to combine individuals together, although an increasing number of people are doing this. It is exemplified that in develop countries namely USA,UK and in Europe people held events in their homes and play music that is selected by everyone. Additionally, In these parts of the worlds the young generation prefers to go out in public clubs where they enjoy the music together. It is often thought that music is the best way to bring people together, if they do not know each other.

On the other hand, It is commonly believed that everyone has its own taste in music, an increasuing noumber of citizens like to enjoy their own company in music and they do not enjoy with others. Introverts are the typical example of this view. It is estimated in 2020 that 60% of the population of the world enjoys their own music. The people who enjoys their own music are mentally and physically heakthy. However, it was estimated few years ago.

To bring all the things together, music makes individuals happy and relaxed in every situation. It is paramount for those who enjoy their own company should enjoy music in loneliness to stay calm and relaxed in underpressure.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt by discussing whether music brings people of different cultures and ages together, presenting a partial agreement stance. However, the development of ideas is limited and sometimes unclear. For example, the argument that introverts prefer solitude is introduced, but unsupported claims such as 'it was estimated in 2020 that 60% of the population of the world enjoys their own music' lack logical connection to the prompt's focus on cultural and generational bridging. While the writer attempts to present two sides, the support remains underdeveloped and relies on vague assertions, aligning best with Band 5.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The essay is organized into distinct paragraphs with basic transitional markers such as 'On one hand,' 'On the other hand,' and 'To bring all the things together.' However, the logical progression is frequently disrupted by awkward referencing and unclear transitions. For instance, the transition 'although an increasing number of people are doing this' lacks a clear antecedent. Paragraphing is attempted, but the internal cohesion of the body paragraphs is faulty, with repetitive phrasing and ideas that do not flow smoothly, fitting the Band 5 descriptor.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is basic and repetitive, with several noticeable errors in word choice and collocation. Examples include 'fetching people of separate traditionals' instead of bringing people of different traditions, 'develop countries' instead of developed countries, and 'heakthy' instead of healthy. The writer attempts some less common vocabulary items like 'introverts' and 'underpressure,' but inaccurate word formations and restricted range place this performance firmly at Band 5.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but frequent grammatical and mechanical errors impede readability. Errors include subject-verb agreement issues ('everyone has its own taste', 'The people who enjoys'), incorrect preposition use ('in loneliness', 'in underpressure'), and awkward phrasing. Complex sentence attempts are often faulty, and punctuation is occasionally unreliable. These persistent errors that cause some difficulty for the reader correspond to a Band 5 score.
