Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

The response addresses all parts of the task and takes a clear, consistent position in agreement with the prompt ('I strongly agrees with this opinion'). Ideas are extended with a relevant contemporary example using the South Korean group BTS to illustrate how music bridges cultural and generational gaps. However, some arguments lack full depth, and the discussion tends to over-generalise and drift slightly into repetitive statements, such as repeatedly calling music a 'form of love'. While the main points are clearly communicated, the development in certain sections remains limited. This places the performance firmly at Band 6, where all parts of the prompt are addressed, but some ideas are slightly under-developed or repetitive.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement, and the writer attempts logical organisation by separating the introduction, body arguments, and conclusion. Paragraphing is used, though paragraph breaks and transitions are occasionally awkward, such as starting with 'First a fall'. Cohesive devices are sometimes faulty or mechanical (e.g., 'So i Concluded that', 'The main area is Music ,Music is an love'). Referencing can also be unclear, as seen in the sudden introduction of BTS without a smooth transitional sentence. Although the general flow allows the reader to follow the train of thought, the mechanical linking and weak paragraph transitions keep this criterion at Band 5.0.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting some less common words and phrases such as 'psycological part' and 'priorties'. However, there are frequent errors in word choice, spelling, and word formation (e.g., 'Indivisuals', 'First a fall', 'peformes', 'differents', 'an love'). These inaccuracies do not entirely impede communication, as the intended meaning of the sentences usually shines through, but they are noticeable and constrain the lexical score. Because the vocabulary is minimally adequate yet marred by persistent errors, a score of 5.0 is appropriate.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but grammatical control is weak throughout the text. There are frequent basic errors in subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'Music is bring the people together', 'Every different culture has it's'), tense usage, and article placement ('A BTS is very a famous boy group band'). Punctuation is also problematic, featuring comma splices and incorrect capitalisation ('Indivisuals', 'Music'). Although some complex structures are attempted, they are frequently faulty, causing some difficulty for the reader. These persistent structural errors place the grammar firmly at Band 5.0.
