Student answer (Band 5.0)
Music is the world-wide popular things which people likes to listen anywhere. In present time, music represent globally and in many languages in the world. My prespective about does music is a good way of combining different peoples of different culture and ages is definately yes or agree. The reason behind this i discuss below.
Initially, musicn have no religion, and have no borders. People all over the world love music and listen frequently through out the day. Many artists arrange a concert of music in which every person of every religion came and attend the concert by their own willingness. And they meet with different aspects of peoples including rich, poor, old people, and teenagers of different cultures. All kind of people came and enjoy the music under one roof which is actually a better way of combining people of every culture and ages together. The interesting aspect is that, they dont know each other but enjoy the music collaboratively.
Secondly, People learn to know different languages by hearing different musics. And few of them glad about this language that they want to meet such people who's mother tongue is such language. Eventually, when they reach out such peoples of different language, they feel glad in their community and love to spend more time togeather. For instance, If i'm talking about myself, i feel charm when i hear music in english. I love the way they pronounce english litreature and the flow of the music is very relaxing like a sparrows chirping in the morning.
In conclusin, I strongly agreed with this statment that music is far better way of bringing people of different cultures, ages, and religion together.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by discussing how music brings people of different cultures and ages together, taking a clear stance of strong agreement. The ideas presented, such as music concerts breaking down social barriers and helping people learn new languages, are relevant to the topic. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive. For instance, the discussion on concerts generalises the experience without deep elaboration, and the language-learning point is brief. It satisfies the basic requirements of Task Achievement, but the lack of fully extended and supported arguments places it firmly in the Band 5 to 6 range. Overall, it addresses the prompt adequately but suffers from under-developed supporting ideas.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The essay is divided into an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion, showing basic paragraphing structure. However, logical progression is frequently hindered by awkward transitions and poor referencing. For instance, phrases like 'The reason behind this i discuss below' and 'Initially, musicn have no religion' disrupt the natural flow of ideas. Cohesive devices are either misused or overly repetitive, such as the repeated use of 'different people of different culture and ages'. Paragraphing is attempted, but internal cohesion within the paragraphs is weak, meaning ideas do not always transition smoothly from one sentence to the next. This level of organisation aligns best with a Band 5 descriptor.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary range is limited and frequently repetitive, relying heavily on basic terms like 'people', 'music', 'culture', and 'ages'. There are noticeable word-choice and collocation errors throughout the response, such as 'world-wide popular things', 'musicn', and 'feel charm'. Spelling mistakes and incorrect word forms ('prespective', 'definately', 'litreature', 'conclusin') are frequent and occasionally cause strain for the reader, although communication remains generally possible. While the writer attempts some less common vocabulary, the persistent inaccuracies and limited range restrict the score to a Band 5.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The text displays a very limited range of grammatical structures. Simple sentences dominate, and attempts at complex structures are frequently faulty, such as in the clause 'does music is a good way of combining different peoples'. Punctuation and capitalization errors are widespread throughout the essay, including lowercase 'i' pronouns and comma splices. Grammatical errors are frequent, involving subject-verb agreement ('musicn have', 'people likes') and article usage. These errors cause frequent difficulty for the reader and demonstrate a lack of control over basic grammatical forms, placing the response at a Band 4.5, rounded to 5.0.
