Student answer (Band 4.5)

In the last few centuries, people are so fond of listening the music. People are wanted those people who is singing the song according to the person deeds. Basically, the music shows our tradition and culture or some kind of traditional things like wearing the dress according to the culture and make a party plans so the people can thought if we are together sit in a party we can sing a music. The people who are not able to sing a music they can join a party where people are sitting together.

Additionaly, Almost in all countries singing and listening a music is a very old culture. People are finding those people which are singing the song and join the party with our friends and families. If we can compare the old music with the today's music so there are lot of changes in the music because in the old culture who are playing the music they doesn't have the modern instrument like Guitar and some other instruments. They are widely use the Harmonium for make a sound in the music.

From my perspective, I think people from different countries are listening the music according to its own taste. In the Western countries, nation are widely speak english language so they can introduce a music which language they are used. In the Eastern countries, people are generally speak the Urdu and Punjabi language and some other languages so the people can listen the music in their languages.

In my conclusion, Eastern countries are more famous for their cultures like Pakistan, India and Bangladesh . Because these countries have same cultures, traditions and foods. So the people from western countries are coming to these countries and watch their culture becuase they are very enjoyable.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

The response responds to the task only minimally and tangentially. While the prompt asks about whether music brings people of different cultures and ages together, the student touches on cultural traditions, music in different countries, and tourism, but struggles to maintain a clear and direct focus on the prompt's core themes. The position is not always clear, and the ideas presented are quite limited and under-developed, relying on repetitive assertions rather than fully extended reasoning or relevant examples from personal knowledge or experience.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The information and ideas are not arranged in a truly coherent way, presenting significant challenges in progression. Although the text is divided into paragraphs, the overall organizational structure lacks clear logical progression between sentences and paragraphs. Transitional devices are basic, repetitive, or inaccurate, such as 'Basically,' 'Additionaly,' and 'In my conclusion,' which makes it difficult for the reader to follow a smooth, logical argument from one point to the next.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

The vocabulary used is very basic and repetitive, frequently straining the reader's comprehension. There are numerous word-choice and word-form errors, such as 'listening the music' instead of listening to music, and 'people are wanted those people who is singing.' The range of vocabulary is severely limited, restricting the student's ability to discuss the topic with precision or variety, and there is an absence of successful less common lexical items.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The grammatical structures employed are very limited, and errors are frequent throughout the response, often distorting the intended meaning. There are persistent problems with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'people are wanted', 'nation are widely speak'), tense usage ('they doesn't have', 'they are widely use'), and awkward clause structures. Complex sentence attempts are regularly faulty, resulting in sentences that require considerable effort from the reader to parse.
