Student answer (Band 5.0)

Nowadays, music is an intergral part of any event or concerts. It is believed by some people that music is benefical way to bringing masses together from various cultures. I strongly agree with this view. I will discuss this trend in the upcoming paragraph with a logical conclusion.

To start with, there many reasons associated with it. The frist and foremost point is festivals and carnivals around the world. To explain this, in many countries when people celebartes their festivals and other occasion they must inculde instrumental music like the beets, drums, and certain other. For example, in India, durning the durga puja in bengal the music play a cerital role in it. Moreover, some live performance like band coldplay or artist. To justify this, it can be evidently observed that people coming from different religious, race, colour and age group enjoy together. Along with it, national anthem of the nation pivotstole in-corparating a serve of unity among in citizen. Which hepls to develop backbone of nation, which its identity.

On the other hand, music can sometimes develop a berrier among the different communite. To presize this, At some places different religious or ethnic group use loud music chants. While, some good chunk of people like to enjoy music alone which also condradict with the idea of togetherness.

In conclusion, although music is a benefical or a intergral p[art of enjoyment such as its play a cretical role in some festivals and carnivalds around the world. However, it also leads to create a berrier due to the different prefrence among in people.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

Your position is clear in the opening: “I strongly agree,” and you give relevant examples involving festivals, live performances and national anthems. These show how music can bring people of different ages and backgrounds together. However, the response only partially develops the task. The discussion of barriers is brief and vague: “different religious or ethnic group use loud music chants” does not explain clearly how this prevents people from connecting. The examples also need fuller explanation, particularly how a shared musical experience creates unity. The conclusion repeats the contrast but does not resolve your stated degree of agreement. Develop each main point with a clear explanation and a specific example, and keep the final position consistent with your opening.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, a paragraph supporting your view, a counterpoint and a conclusion. Basic signposting such as “To start with,” “On the other hand” and “In conclusion” helps readers identify these sections. However, progression within paragraphs is often difficult to follow: the discussion moves from festivals to Coldplay, then national anthems, without clearly linking each example to the central claim. Several linking phrases are mechanical or do not introduce complete, clear ideas, as in “To justify this” and “Which helps to develop backbone of nation.” The conclusion is also repeated, ending with an unfinished “In conclusion, although”. Organise each paragraph around one main idea and use clear references and transitions to show how examples support it.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt topic-related vocabulary, including “festivals,” “carnivals,” “instrumental music,” “live performance” and “national anthem,” and you try to express abstract ideas such as unity and barriers. However, the range is limited and many spelling, word-form and collocation errors make parts difficult to understand. Examples include “intergral,” “benefical,” “beets” and “pivotstole”; the intended words are not always clear. Phrases such as “develop a berrier” and “a serve of unity” are also unnatural, while “people coming from different religious, race, colour” lacks accurate forms. Choose familiar words you can use precisely, check spelling, and learn common combinations such as “create a sense of unity” and “people from different cultural backgrounds.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You use some simple sentences and attempt longer structures with examples and contrast, but the range is limited and complex sentences are often faulty. Errors in sentence construction and verb forms appear in “there many reasons associated with it,” “when people celebrates their festivals,” and “the music play a cerital role.” Agreement, articles and plurals are also inconsistent, as in “different religious, race, colour and age group.” Some fragments make relationships unclear, including “Which helps to develop backbone of nation,” and the final line is incomplete. These errors frequently interrupt reading, even though the general topic can usually be understood. Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, then check agreement, articles and punctuation, especially when joining examples to explanations.
