Student answer (Band 5.0)
It is often argued by some people that music is a good way of bringing people of different cultures and ages together. Although some might disagree with this statement, I completely agree. Not only because of msuic attracts people of all ages and cultures together, but also because of it helps people connect and understand each other.
There are multiple benifits associated with attracting people through music. Firstly, It attract people of all ages together like children, young and old ages because every one like to hear music in group and it also helps people to connect and understand each other easily. Take an example of Japan, where 90% of people like to hear music in group as they shared thier knowledge with each other. Thus, attracting people through music is very benificial.
Secondly, bringing people of different cultures through music is very benificial because it helps people to understand different cultures and traditions. It also helps people make new friends, even if they speak different languages. For instance, a recent survey conducted in France revealed that many people of different cultures attended a music event, where they helped each other a lot. Hence, bringing people of different cultures through music is vey benificial.
Finally, music attracts people and it helps people connect and understand each other and it also gives new friends.
To sum up, music is a best way of bringing people of different cultures and ages together and it also a good way of attracting people of different types which helps people to make new relations.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
Your position is clear: you completely agree that music can bring people of different ages and cultures together, and you give reasons about connection, understanding, and friendship. However, these ideas are mostly asserted rather than explained in depth. The Japan example (“90% of people”) and the France survey are presented without detail showing how music actually creates understanding or relationships, so the support remains limited. The final paragraph repeats earlier points instead of adding a developed conclusion. The response also contains 234 words, below the required 250; the 25 words copied from the task prompt are not counted. Develop one or two examples with specific explanation and ensure the response meets the minimum length.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs, a brief final point, and a conclusion. Sequencing words such as “Firstly,” “Secondly,” “Finally,” and “To sum up” help signal the order of ideas. However, progression is limited because the same claims—music attracts people and helps them connect—are repeated across several paragraphs, especially in the final body paragraph and conclusion. Some links are mechanical, and the relationship between claims and examples is not always clear. For instance, the Japan example is followed by a general conclusion without explaining how the example supports the point. Organise each body paragraph around one distinct reason, explain it, and connect the example directly to that reason.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use a small set of relevant words, including “cultures,” “traditions,” “attended,” and “connect,” so the topic is generally understandable. However, vocabulary is limited and repetitive: “people,” “music,” “helps,” and “beneficial” recur frequently, while “beneficial” is repeated in both body paragraphs. There are also noticeable spelling errors, including “msuic,” “benifits,” “thier,” and “vey,” and some awkward expressions such as “old ages” and “make new relations.” These choices reduce precision and naturalness, though the main meaning can usually be followed. Build a wider range of accurate collocations—for example, describe people as “people of all age groups” and say music can “foster connections” or “bring communities together.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You communicate your main position using mostly simple sentence patterns, and some longer sentences attempt to connect ideas with “because,” “although,” and “where.” However, the range is limited, and attempts at more complex structures are often faulty. The opening reason sentence is incomplete: “Not only because of music attracts…”; it needs a complete clause and a correctly formed construction. There are also recurring agreement and article errors, such as “It attract people” and “music is a best way,” as well as problems in “it also a good way.” Capitalisation and punctuation are inconsistent, including the capital “It” after “Firstly” and extra spaces. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement and complete sentences before adding more complex structures.
