Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You state a clear overall view—“I am agree to this perspective”—and include relevant points about shared enjoyment, emotional connection, and learning about other cultures through music. However, the response only partially develops the question of how music brings people of different ages and cultures together. Much of the first body paragraph discusses music as entertainment, a profession, or a way to relieve stress, without linking these points clearly to bringing groups together. The example about people enjoying music together is relevant but remains general, and the opposing view is dismissed rather than explained. To strengthen the response, develop specific examples of people from different generations or cultural backgrounds sharing music, and explain how this creates connection.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has an introduction, two body paragraphs signalled by “Firstly” and “Secondly,” and a concluding summary, so the reader can identify its broad structure. However, progression is limited: the first paragraph moves from relieving tension to entertainment, careers, and earning money, while the links to the central argument are often unclear. Cohesive devices are repetitive or awkward, and several ideas run together, as in “different areas. For example” and “music.However.” References such as “they” and “this” do not always make the connection between ideas precise. Organise each paragraph around one main reason, use clear topic sentences, and connect examples explicitly to the claim that music unites people.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant vocabulary, including “cultures,” “interpersonal relationships,” “depressed,” “communication,” and “customs,” which helps convey the topic. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are noticeably inaccurate, sometimes making the meaning less clear. Examples include “a best path,” “remove pain or tension,” “relief their pains,” and “music asunder mental health cures.” Repetition of “music,” “people,” and “different” also limits precision. Aim to learn natural word partnerships and use more specific language for the relationship between music and social connection. For example, describe music as a “shared cultural experience” or say it can “foster connections across generations.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including conditional and relative structures, as in “If people listens musics from different languages, they can learn…” and “people who love music, they enjoy music together.” However, complex attempts are often faulty, and frequent errors affect accuracy and sometimes slow the reader. Examples include “I am agree,” “for build up,” “when people listen … then can relate,” and the subject–verb agreement error “people listens.” Articles, plurals, and sentence boundaries also need attention; for instance, “a best path” and the missing spaces or punctuation around “areas. For example” make the text harder to follow. Practise accurate basic clauses first, then build longer sentences with correct agreement and punctuation.
