Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is often argued that music is the best way to connect people together from different cultures and ages. I firmly agree with this statement because music connects hearts beyond words.
One main reason is that music is a univesal language. This is because, it allows people to vibe with same music. For instance, BTS concerts gather several type of people from different cultures, age, and background and they do not think about people; they just enjoy the song and express themselves. As a result, it helps people to unwind and take break from their daily worries, also may able to know others'cu;ture and life-style.
Another crucial reason is that it enables people to alleviate the generation gap, make a bring among theselves and spend good time together. This is because sometime they they prefer same genres also different ages people can also know about different music. For example, older people prefer traditional and classical music, whereas youngers tend to pop musics but when they listen these they just try to feel the rhythm, the melody. Therefore, it enables to create harmony between individuals.
In conclusion, music foster a sense of community. Although everyone does not enjoy the same genres, it connect different cultures' people from all over the world and enable them to share their experience. I strongly agree it is the most powerful way to bring people together and brings herats closer in a meaningfull way.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear from the introduction (“I firmly agree”) and conclusion, and both body paragraphs give relevant reasons: music can cross language and cultural boundaries, and shared listening can connect generations. The BTS concert example helps illustrate the first point. However, several claims are asserted rather than fully explained; for example, the discussion of older and younger listeners does not show clearly how listening together reduces the generation gap. The response also falls 12 words short of the required minimum, so it does not fully meet the task’s length requirement. Develop each example with a specific explanation of how music brings people together, and add a little more relevant support.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, two reason-based body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Linking expressions such as “For instance,” “As a result,” and “In conclusion” help signal the stages of the argument. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. In the first body paragraph, the move from enjoying a song to learning about others’ cultures is not fully explained. The second paragraph also repeats “This is because” and contains a confusing sequence about different age groups and genres. Improve progression by making each paragraph follow a clear pattern—main idea, explanation, example, and result—and use pronouns and transitions that make relationships between ideas explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “universal language,” “generation gap,” “traditional and classical music,” and “sense of community.” These phrases help communicate the central argument. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or awkward, such as “vibe with same music,” “make a bring,” and “youngers.” Spelling and word-form errors, including “univesal,” “herats,” and “meaningfull,” also reduce precision. Aim for natural, accurate expressions rather than informal or invented phrasing, and proofread carefully. More precise vocabulary for shared experiences and cultural exchange would help you explain your ideas with greater clarity.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including clauses introduced by “because,” “whereas,” and “although,” and the overall meaning is generally understandable. However, some sentence structures and grammatical forms are inaccurate. For example, “it allows people to vibe with same music” is missing an article, while “it connect different cultures’ people” has subject–verb agreement and sentence-pattern problems. The sentence beginning “Another crucial reason is that it enables…” becomes difficult to follow, and “they they prefer” contains an uncorrected repetition. Work on accurate agreement, articles, and complete sentence structures, especially when combining several ideas. Punctuating longer sentences clearly will also make your argument easier to read.
