Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear: you state that you “totally agree” and return to this view in the conclusion. The response also gives relevant reasons, including music’s emotional effect and its ability to attract listeners across national and cultural boundaries. However, the ideas are only partly developed. For example, you mention Punjabi, Pakistani and Hollywood music, but do not give a specific example of how people from different ages or cultures connect through it. The age aspect of the question is especially under-addressed, and claims such as music bringing people together despite disputes need explanation or support. To strengthen the response, address both cultures and ages directly and extend each main point with a concrete example and explanation.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, several body paragraphs and a concluding statement. The paragraphs generally focus on related points, such as music’s emotional value and its international reach. However, progression between ideas is not always clear, and the body paragraphs sometimes repeat the general claim that music unites people rather than developing distinct supporting points. Linking phrases such as “So in the end” help signal the conclusion, but connections within paragraphs are limited, and some references—such as “them” in “listen them more”—are unclear. Plan one central idea for each paragraph, then use clear references and linking expressions to show how each example supports your position.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You attempt some topic-related vocabulary, including “lyrics,” “emotions,” “music industries,” “influence” and “cultures,” which helps communicate your general argument. However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are inaccurate or repeated, sometimes making the meaning difficult to follow. For instance, “music build a coplete vibe among people to listen them more passionality” does not express the intended idea clearly, while “hactic World” and “goog thing” contain spelling errors. Some combinations, such as “singers … have great influence many listeners,” also need more natural phrasing. Build a bank of accurate collocations for discussing music and social connection, and proofread spelling and word forms. Aim for precise, natural expressions rather than repeating broad terms such as “people” and “music.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You use mostly straightforward sentence patterns and make some attempts to connect ideas with clauses, as in “who make people addicted to them.” However, the range of structures is limited, and errors in sentence construction, agreement, articles and punctuation occur frequently enough to affect clarity. For example, “music … make people feel” needs subject–verb agreement, and “it is good thing” is missing an article. The opening also runs several sentences together without consistent spacing or punctuation, while the final sentence contains an unclear construction: “to gain their themselves again.” Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then add controlled complex structures using because, which and although. Check agreement, articles and sentence boundaries during editing.
