Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is often argued that music is a good way to bring people together from different cultures and ages. Although there are some arguments, I completely agree with this viewpoint.
One of the strongest reasons in favour of music is that it create a bonding among people of all cultures and ages, a perspective that has become increasingly important in contemporary society. This is primarily because music can influence them to remain together, making it considerably easier for people to build a strong commucication. As a result, it plays a pivotal role in promoting their relationship while spreading cultures across the world. A compelling example can be observed in FIFA World Cup 2026, where Sakira's song significantly influence the people of all ages and cultures to enjoy the matches, clearly demonstrating the significance of this perspective. Therefore, supporters believe that giving greater priority to music would generate substantial long-term benefits.
Another most convincing reason is that music can break the language barrier, an approach capable of producing equally meaningful outcomes. This is largely because people enjoy the lyrics beyond the languages, enabling to learn other languages more effectively while reducing the chances of cultural shocks. More importantly, this perspective would foster communication skills, facilitate the way of learniing new things, and lay the foundation for sustainable development. For instance, music successfully mitigated the language barrier between Bangladesh and India, illustrating the practical effectiveness of this approach.Taken together, these reasons explain why supporter continue to support music.
In conclusion, music is a media of expressing our emotions among others overcoming language barrier as well as enhancing bondings. Hence, I stronly believe that music is a good way to bring people together because it offers greater long-term advantages for both individuals and society.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear from the introduction to the conclusion: you completely agree that music can bring people of different cultures and ages together. You give two relevant reasons—music can build relationships and can cross language barriers—and include examples involving the World Cup and Bangladesh and India. This addresses the task, but the support is uneven and some claims remain unclear or general. For example, the World Cup example says a song influenced people to enjoy matches, but does not explain how it brought different age groups or cultures together. The Bangladesh–India example also needs specific detail. Develop each example and explain the connection to both cultures and ages more explicitly.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting separate reasons, and a conclusion that restates your view. Linking phrases such as “As a result,” “For instance,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the main stages. However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical: both body paragraphs use similar formulaic openings and explanations, and phrases such as “this perspective” and “this approach” do not always identify a precise idea. The sentence beginning “Taken together” is also a broad transition rather than a clear link to the example before it. Improve progression by connecting each example directly to the claim it supports and varying transitions while making references more specific.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of vocabulary for the topic, including “bonding,” “language barrier,” “cultural shocks,” and “sustainable development,” and you attempt more formal expressions such as “pivotal role” and “long-term benefits.” Some less common choices are not used naturally or precisely, however. “Build a strong commucication” is unclear, while “music is a media of expressing our emotions” and “enhancing bondings” are awkward collocations. There are also spelling errors, including “Sakira,” “learniing,” and “stronly.” These do not prevent the reader from understanding your main argument, but careful proofreading and more natural word partnerships would make the vocabulary more controlled and precise.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, including subordinate clauses beginning “Although” and “because,” and most of your meaning remains clear. Some grammatical errors persist. For example, “music … create a bonding” needs subject–verb agreement, and “enabling to learn” is missing a subject or object. In “Sakira’s song significantly influence,” the verb form does not agree with the singular subject; “supporter continue” also needs a plural form or an article. The conclusion’s “overcoming language barrier” would be clearer with an article or plural noun. Review agreement, complete verb patterns, and articles, then proofread longer sentences to improve accuracy without losing structural variety.
