Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You take a generally positive position, stating that “Music is a universal language” and that it brings generations and cultures together. You also give relevant supporting points, including shared emotions, cultural fusion, and people listening for relaxation. However, the response only partially develops the argument: the examples about hip-hop and your hometown are mentioned briefly, without explaining clearly how they unite people of different ages or cultures. Your position is also less clear in the conclusion, “i like it and some people like good way of music,” which does not directly state the extent of your agreement. Develop one or two examples in more detail and maintain a clear, consistent answer to the question.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The response has an introduction, supporting paragraphs, and a conclusion, and it uses signposts such as “Furthermore” and “In conclusion.” These features give it some organisation. However, progression between ideas is difficult to follow: the first paragraph shifts quickly from differences in musical taste to culture, while the second introduces “In this figure” even though no figure is part of the task. Several transitions are repetitive or awkward, including repeated uses of “Because” and “Finally,” and some sentences do not connect clearly to the point before them. Group related ideas into focused paragraphs, use linking expressions only when they show a genuine relationship, and make references between sentences clearer.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “universal language,” “culture fusion,” “breaking barriers,” and “mind relaxation.” These phrases show an effort to express ideas beyond very basic statements. However, the range is limited and many word-choice, collocation, and spelling errors make parts of the response difficult to understand, such as “powerfull way,” “genreze,” “emepathy,” and “reliefe our stress.” Some expressions are also unnatural, for example “sharing a performing music” and “different music on functions.” Build accuracy by learning common word partnerships related to music and social connection, and check spelling and word forms carefully. More precise vocabulary would help you explain your examples clearly.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt some longer sentences and use basic connectors to express reasons, as in “Because, i see near my hometown…” However, sentence structures are limited, and errors in agreement, articles, verb forms, and sentence boundaries occur frequently enough to make reading difficult. Examples include “Many people says,” “some people has,” and “it has been connected different kinds of age group.” Several fragments or incorrectly punctuated sentences also interrupt meaning, such as “Actually. music hass been sharing emotion moments…” Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them with clauses using “because,” “which,” or “while.” Check subject–verb agreement and ensure each sentence has a complete main clause.
