Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is often argued by some people that through music we can bring the people of different cultures and ages togather. Although some might disagree with this notion, I completely agree. Not only because of music promotes cultural understanding and connects different generations, but also because of it creates unity and sence of belonging.
There are multiple advantages associated with the music. Firstly, it promotes cultural understanding can be considered as the major benefit of this approach. This is because songs often reflect the traditions, languages, beliefs and lifestyles of the people who create them. By listening to music from other countries, people can become familiar with cultures different from their own.For example in pakistan most of the people often listen korean songs so they also adopt the their cultural in their daily lives like they want to wear korean clothes and also try to skeak in korean way. Thus this key point, I believe, strongly supports my agreement with this statement.
Secondly apart from the cultural understanding, music also connect the different generations can also be major benefit of this approach. This is because music is enjoyed by people of different ages, and sharing songs can create common interests between generations. For example,: For instance, grandparents, parents and children may enjoy listening to traditional songs together during family gatherings. Therefore, this key point further strengthens my veiw onn this statement.
Finally, music also creates unity and sense of belonging can also be considered as the leading benefit of this development. As the people from different background can sing, dance and enjoy concert togather, even if they speak different languages.
To sum up, I believe that the cultural understandings, connection among different generations and also unity make this approach a agree one.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear from the introduction: “I completely agree,” and the conclusion returns to the same view. You address the main parts of the question by discussing cultural understanding, connections between generations, and a sense of unity. The examples about listening to Korean songs in Pakistan and family members sharing traditional music are relevant, and the family example helps explain how music can connect age groups. However, the cultural example is not fully clear about how listening leads to adopting another culture, and the final point about concerts is asserted rather than developed with a specific illustration. To strengthen the response, explain the effects of each example more precisely and develop the unity point as fully as the first two.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate body paragraphs for its main reasons, and a conclusion. Sequencing words such as “Firstly,” “Secondly,” and “Finally” make the progression easy to follow, and each paragraph has a central topic. However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical, and repeated phrases such as “major benefit of this approach” and “this key point” make the argument sound formulaic. Some links between sentences are unclear, particularly “Thus this key point” after the example about Korean music. The second body paragraph also repeats “For example” as “For example,: For instance.” Use fewer stock transitions and make each sentence’s relationship to the previous one explicit; this would make the progression smoother.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “cultural understanding,” “traditions,” “generations,” and “sense of belonging,” so the reader can follow your main ideas. There are also attempts to express abstract concepts rather than relying only on basic words. However, the range and control are uneven: phrases such as “a agree one” and “adopt the their cultural” are inaccurate, while “music also connect the different generations” shows difficulty choosing the correct form and collocation. Spelling errors such as “togather,” “sence,” and “veiw” are noticeable. Build a bank of accurate topic phrases and check spelling and word forms; for example, use “foster a sense of unity” and “become interested in another culture.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of sentence forms, including a concessive opening (“Although some might disagree”) and explanations introduced by “This is because.” These attempts show some range, but complex structures are often not controlled accurately, and errors sometimes make sentences difficult to process. For example, “Not only because of music promotes…” is an incomplete construction, and “music also connect the different generations can also be major benefit” combines clauses without a workable grammatical structure. There are also agreement and article errors, as in “music…creates” versus “music…connect,” and “a major benefit.” Practise building complete sentences with one clear main clause, then add a subordinate clause; check subject–verb agreement, articles, and punctuation when editing.
