Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is widely argued that music is the best way of connecting people together from different societies and ages. I mostly disagree with the given statement that music is good way of promoting different cultures for language barrier and other available best sources.
One of the most significant problems with the music in terms of bringing people together from distinct cultures and ages is language barrier. We all have our own mother language, and we speak at that language. We don't speak foreign language unless we need to learn it for some useful purposes. So, when we try listen other country's music, we fail to understand the core message of their music. As a result, we often don't find any interest in listening to other nations music. For example, a person from Bangladesh wil speak at bengali, while someone from Spain will talk at spanish. If the bangladeshi person don't know anything about spanish, he will be uninterested when try to hear some spanish song. Furthermore, people of all ages not necessarily like music. They may have some other preferences, such as spending time with their childrens, playing with friends. In those situations, it will be challenging to have them together.
In addition, apart from music, movie is the best way of promoting cultures to other peoples of different ages and societies. Because, movie is the best source where a nation can highlights its cultures without requiring to understand their language. People can connect with other cultures easily without having any difficulties. People from all ages like movie because they can watch movie in their free times. For example, a significant portions of young bangladeshi prefer to watch pakistani drama and movie, which help them to understand the culture of Pakistan, to understand their language. These visualizations eventually connect the people of Bangladesh and Pakistan together.
In conclusion, although some people argued for music for a better way of connecting people together from any society and any kind of ages, I mostly disagree for language barrier, and for having other better sources.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear: you mostly disagree, and you give two relevant reasons—language differences and the availability of other ways to share culture. The Bangladesh–Spain example supports your point about lyrics, while the discussion of films offers a relevant alternative. However, the response does not fully explore the extent to which music can still unite people despite language differences; for instance, shared rhythms, performances, or instrumental music could qualify your argument. The claim that people are uninterested in music they cannot understand is also broad and not fully supported. Develop this counterpoint and explain more precisely why films are more effective, rather than presenting them as universally preferred, to make the response more complete and convincing.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay has a clear overall structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting separate reasons, and a conclusion that restates your position. Linking phrases such as “As a result,” “Furthermore,” and “In addition” help show how ideas relate. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. The sentence beginning “Because, movie is the best source” is not properly connected to the preceding sentence, and the shift from language barriers to people’s preferences in the first body paragraph could be signposted more clearly. Repeated wording such as “bringing people together” and “different ages and societies” also makes progression feel less smooth. Use clearer topic sentences and refer back to ideas with precise wording to strengthen the flow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a relevant range of vocabulary, including “language barrier,” “core message,” “distinct cultures,” and “visualizations,” and the reader can generally understand your argument. There are also attempts to use more formal expressions, such as “significant problems” and “promoting cultures.” However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, including “connecting people together,” “speak at that language,” “other nations music,” and “a significant portions.” Some expressions are repeated, particularly “best way” and “people together,” which limits flexibility. Aim for more natural collocations and precise terms; this will help you express the same ideas more fluently without changing your overall argument.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentences, including clauses introduced by “while,” “unless,” and “although,” and most of the argument remains understandable. Some grammatical errors, however, recur in articles, agreement, verb forms, and sentence construction. Examples include “music is good way,” “a person … wil speak,” “the bangladeshi person don't know,” and “a significant portions … prefer.” The sentence beginning “Because, movie is the best source” is also an incomplete or awkwardly attached clause. Practise checking subject–verb agreement and article use, and make sure each dependent clause is joined to a complete main clause. Greater accuracy in these areas would make your varied sentence forms more controlled.
