Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is widely known that music is one of the most iconic things that can bring people from different ages and cultures to share the same vibe and enjoy togather. I firmly believe that music is an necessary part of every culture, it can be a perfect way to bring different people togather. But, i can't deny that not all people have the same taste in music, for that reason it can be litle bit difficult to attract some individuals togather.
In contemporary society, listening to music has become a part of our daily lives.
we put music when we wake up, when we shower, when we drive and even when we sleep. It is like the magic that we add to our simple days to become better.
This magic, is very popular in many different countrys as much as morning coffee.
I personaly see that songs are a good idea to bring people from several countrys and multiple cultures togather for some reasons.
One of them is the vibes that music spreads to listeners. Sometimes you don't need to understand the words to enjoy listening to music, it depends on the vibe it adds to our souls. For instance, how many people enjoy listening to some foreign songs without understanding the meaning of their words.
In contrast, some individuals have different tastes in music. What makes it imposible to bring them togather. Some people prefer listening to pop while others enjoy listening to rap, others don't like music and find it uncomfortable for their ears.
As a result, they will get bored quicklly if they don't find something that fits their needs.
To conclude, music can be a good idea to bring some diffrent people of different cultures and ages togather, but still limited on some people's interests and taste.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear: you believe music can connect people, while acknowledging that differing tastes may limit this effect. The point about enjoying foreign songs without understanding their lyrics is relevant and gives a useful reason for your view. However, the response only partly develops the task: the discussion focuses mainly on cultures and music preferences, with little explanation of how music brings people of different ages together. The opposing point about varied tastes is introduced, but its effect is asserted rather than explored, and the conclusion largely repeats the introduction. To strengthen the response, explain a specific way people across generations share music—for example, through family events or concerts—and develop one or two examples to support your position more fully.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, moving from an introduction to supporting points, a contrast, and a conclusion. Phrases such as “For instance” and “In contrast” help signal examples and a change in direction. However, progression within the body is uneven: the paragraph about music in daily life does not clearly lead into the argument about connecting cultures, and several short statements feel disconnected. The contrast about different tastes is relevant, but “What makes it impossible to bring them together” is not smoothly linked to the preceding sentence. Some linking is repetitive, particularly the repeated use of “together” and “music.” Organise each body paragraph around one main reason, then connect the example directly to that reason and use clearer referencing.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “cultures,” “listeners,” “foreign songs,” and “different tastes,” and expressions such as “the vibe it adds to our souls” communicate your personal response. However, the range is limited by repeated general words such as “good idea,” “people,” and “bring … together.” Some choices are informal or imprecise for an academic essay, including “same vibe” and “magic,” while spelling errors such as “togather,” “countrys,” “personaly,” and “diffrent” are noticeable. These errors do not prevent the main ideas from being understood, but they reduce accuracy and control. Aim for more precise collocations, such as “shared musical experience” or “foster connections,” and proofread carefully for spelling.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a contrast introduced by “But” and a conditional idea in “if they don’t find something that fits their needs.” The main message is generally understandable, but sentence boundaries and punctuation are not consistently controlled. For example, “I firmly believe that music is an necessary part of every culture, it can be a perfect way…” joins two independent clauses with a comma. “What makes it impossible to bring them together” is a sentence fragment, and “This magic, is very popular…” has an unnecessary comma. There are also errors in articles and agreement, as in “an necessary” and “music … it can.” Practise joining clauses with conjunctions or full stops, and check articles, capitalisation, and punctuation during revision.
