Student answer (Band 5.0)
Some people believe that music has the ability to unite the publics of different cultures and ages together. It might be has some abilities however, I stronglu diagree with this approach. this eassy will examine the reasons why i disagree with this argument.
One major reason is that in different languages music is created by the artists. If music is not created by using so many languages it would be possible that it could gather a popullation of different countries. Language creates the barrier that music can not break. For example, there have several citizents who does not understand any other languages besides their own language. So it is very clear that music is not a good way of bringing people of various nations.
Another issue is that everyone has their own music tastes. Beacuse in different countries has diverse types of music and people often are not taking the same tastes of music. That is another concern for music, while some argue music has the ability. Furthermore, when music tastes were not the same than it is clear that individuals are not connect each other and cannot be able to bring people together through music. Someone
In conclution, it is very clear that the individuals have different tastes and languages over music, therefore music can not be able to connect the populations of different countries. Moreover, it could be boaring or less interesting for those people who does not understand the meaning.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You state a clear disagreement in the introduction and give two relevant reasons: language differences and differing musical tastes. These points address the topic, but they are only briefly explained and are not supported with a specific, developed example. The discussion also shifts from people of different cultures and ages to “different countries” and “nations,” so the age aspect of the question is not addressed. The unfinished “Someone” further weakens the response. In addition, the response is 7 words below the required minimum. To strengthen the answer, discuss both culture and age directly, explain how each reason affects people’s ability to connect, and include a concrete example from experience or general knowledge.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. The main ideas are generally placed in relevant paragraphs, and signposts such as “One major reason,” “Another issue,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the argument. However, progression within the body paragraphs is uneven. The second paragraph repeats the point about differing tastes, and “That is another concern for music, while some argue music has the ability” does not clearly connect the ideas. The isolated word “Someone” interrupts the paragraph, while the conclusion largely repeats earlier claims rather than drawing them together. Develop each paragraph through a clear reason, explanation, and example, and use references and linking phrases more precisely.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “languages,” “barrier,” “music tastes,” and “connect,” which makes your general meaning understandable. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, sometimes making the argument harder to follow. For example, “unite the publics” is unnatural, “taking the same tastes” does not express the intended idea, and “boaring” is misspelled. There are also repeated references to “different countries” and “people,” with few alternatives to express cultural groups or musical preferences. Build a more precise set of topic phrases and check spelling carefully. For instance, use “bring people together,” “share similar musical tastes,” and “boring” in the relevant contexts.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, including a conditional structure in “If music is not created by using so many languages it would be possible…”. However, the range is limited, and complex sentences are often faulty. Examples include “It might be has some abilities,” “there have several citizens,” and “individuals are not connect each other,” where verb forms, agreement, or sentence construction obscure the intended meaning. Other problems include “in different countries has diverse types” and “people who does not understand,” which show difficulty with subject–verb agreement and clause structure. Use shorter, complete sentences first, then practise combining them accurately with because, although, and if. Check that each sentence has a clear subject and correctly formed verb.
