Student answer (Band 5.5)
ACCORDING TO SEVERAL PEOPLE, MUSIC IS A BETTER WAY OF BRINGING PEOPLE OF VARIOUS CULTURES AND AGES TOGETHER. I PARTIALLY AGREE TO THIS STATEMENT. AS THERE ARE MANY OTHER WAYS TO BRING PEOPLE TOGETHER BELONGING FROM DIFFERENT COMMUNITY. THIS ESAASY WILL DISCUSS MY OWN PERSPECTIVE AND ELLABORATES THE REASON BELLOW.
TO COMMENCE WITH, MUSIC IS ONE OF THE BESTS INVISIBLE INSTRUMENT THAT CAN CHANGE AN INDIVIDUAL MOOD BECAUSE ACCORDING TO PEOPLE MUSIC HOLDS THE EMOTION AND ABLE TO EXPRESS THE MESSAGE OR FEELING THEY REALLY WANT. IN RECENT TIME, PEOPLE ARE BECOMING MORE MODERN WHICH UNABLES THEM TO PRESERVE THEIR CULTURE BUT STILL THE PRESENT OF SUCH CULTURAL SONGS MADE THEM AWARE ABOUT THE IMPORTANCE AND HELP THEM TO ROOT TOWARDS THEIR TRADITIONS AND CUSTOMS. FOR EXAMPLE, THERE ARE MANY COMMUNITIES WHICH TRY TO ARRANGE THE EVENTS, WHICH ENABLES THE PEOPLE TO ATTEND GET-TOGETHERS AND DURING SUCH EVENT THEY ALL VIBE ON THE SONGS OF THEIR OWN MOTHER TOUNGE AS WELL AS SONGS WHICH SOUNDS FAMILIAR TO THEIR TRADITIONS AS SUCH SONGS HOLDS THE STRONG MESSAGE WHICH EVERYONE IS ABLE TO UNDERSTAND AND SHOULD FOLLOW THE MESSAGED CONVEYED THROUGH IT. AS IT MADE THEM AWARE ABOUT THE HISTORY THROUGH MUSIC RELATED TO THEIR CUSTOMS.
HOWEVER, GROUP OF PEOPLE ARE FINDING THE ALTERNATIVE AS MUSIC IS SOMETHING WHICH HOLDS DIFFERENT TASTE OF DIFFERENT AGE GROUP LIKE THE SONG WHICH IS FAVOURABLE BY YOUNGSTER IS NOT LIKELY TO BE THE TASTE OF OLDER PEOPLE SO THERE ARE MANY ACTIVITIES WHICH ARE BEING ORGANISED , THAT PEOPLE USED TO DO EARLIER, HELP THEM TO LEARN SOMETHING RELATED TO THEIR PAST AND CAN MAKE CHANGES TO IT AND USE IT IN RECENT TIME.
IN CONCLUSION, MUSIC CAN BE CONSIDER AS BEST WAY TO MAKE AWARE THE PEOPLE ABOUT THEIR TRADITIONS AND CUSTOMS BUT IT IS NOT ONLY MUSIC WHICH CAN HELP TO MAKE PEOPLE COMBINED IN ONE COMMUNITY , THERE ARE OTHER WAYS TOO.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is that you partially agree, and you give relevant reasons: music can preserve cultural traditions, while differences in musical taste may limit its appeal across age groups. The example of people attending community events and listening to songs connected with their traditions helps illustrate the first point. However, the response only partly addresses the question because the discussion focuses much more on culture than on how music brings different ages together. The alternative activities mentioned in the second body paragraph are also vague and are not supported with a specific example. To strengthen the response, explain how people of different generations might share music or attend an event together, then develop the limitation and clarify why you still partly agree overall.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. The contrast signalled by “However” and the summary beginning “In conclusion” help readers follow the broad direction of your argument. At the same time, progression within paragraphs is not always clear: the first body paragraph moves from mood and emotion to cultural preservation, community events and history without clearly connecting each point. Several sentences are very long, and repeated references to “music,” “people” and “traditions” make the links feel repetitive. The second paragraph introduces alternative activities but does not explain what they are or how they support your position. Use shorter, focused paragraphs and clearer links between each claim, explanation and example.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “preserve their culture,” “traditions and customs,” “mother tongue” and “alternative.” These choices show an effort to discuss cultural identity and music rather than relying only on basic terms. However, inaccurate word choice, collocation and spelling are frequent enough to make some ideas difficult to interpret. For example, “best invisible instrument” is unclear, “root towards their traditions” is not a natural expression, and “people combined in one community” does not convey the intended meaning precisely. There are also noticeable spelling errors such as “ESAASY,” “ELLABORATES” and “TOUNGE.” Aim for accurate, natural phrases and check spelling; precise vocabulary will communicate your ideas more effectively than unusual wording.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt complex sentences, particularly when explaining how music can express feelings and connect people with traditions. However, these structures are often faulty, and errors in sentence formation, agreement, verb forms and articles frequently make the meaning difficult to follow. For instance, “there are many other ways to bring people together belonging from different community” has an unclear structure, while “the song which is favourable by youngster is not likely to be the taste of older people” contains several grammatical problems. The response also relies heavily on long sentences joined by “which” and “as,” with limited control of punctuation. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine related ideas using controlled clauses and check subject–verb agreement and singular/plural forms.
