Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.0

You state a clear position—“I am totally agree” indicates strong agreement—and your points about national anthems and music representing a country are relevant to the topic. However, the response is far too brief to address the task fully: it contains 75 words, 175 below the required minimum, and 17 words copied from the prompt were not counted. The ideas are asserted rather than explained, and there is no developed example showing how music brings people of different cultures or ages together. To improve, explain a specific situation, such as people of different generations sharing a concert or cultural festival, and connect it directly to your position. A fuller response also needs to address both age and cultural differences.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The response has a basic progression: it gives your opinion, then refers to national traditions and music’s role in representing a country. This makes the general line of thought possible to follow. However, the ideas are crowded into one paragraph, and the links between them are not always clear—for example, the move from different religions and foods to national anthems does not explain how music actually unites people. The repeated use of “music” and “different” also makes the flow feel repetitive. Organise the answer into an introduction, separate body paragraphs for your main reasons, and a conclusion. Use clear links such as “For example” and “As a result” to show how each point supports your view.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “religion,” “traditional,” “anthem,” and “singers,” and you attempt to express ideas about identity and national representation. However, the range is narrow, and several word choices or combinations are unclear or unnatural, such as “a good thing of bringing,” “dressers,” “musics,” and “represent you status.” These choices sometimes make the intended meaning difficult to understand. Build a more precise set of expressions for discussing music and social connection, such as “shared musical traditions,” “cultural identity,” and “bring generations together.” Check whether a noun is countable before making it plural: “music” is generally uncountable when referring to music in general.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You communicate a basic opinion using mostly simple sentence patterns, and the reader can identify your main point. However, control of sentence structure and basic grammar is inconsistent. For example, “The above statement is right i am totally agree with us” combines clauses incorrectly and uses an incorrect verb form; “any nation have” has a subject–verb agreement error; and “his specific traditional foods” does not use a suitable pronoun for “nation.” There are also punctuation problems, including missing spaces after full stops and inconsistent capitalisation. Practise forming complete sentences with a subject and correctly conjugated verb, then check agreement, articles, pronouns, and sentence boundaries. Adding a few accurate complex sentences would also help you explain reasons and examples.
