Student answer (Band 6.0)
Numerous people believe that music is a good way of bringing people of different culture and ages together. I compeletly agree with this view because music is something that everyone like, for instance an indian wedding, party and more.
Firstly, science is already prove that listen to the music can heal mind and body. Beats in music are effect on mind according to the frquency. However, there are various types of music that people listen on basis of their mood to clam their thought, for enjoyment or to celebrate something special. For example international music festival attract people all over the world at one place who listen to the same kind of music and enjoy peroformance, reguardless of their nationality or religious.
Furthermore, in some countries like India where every place has their own culture and tradition music can also unti people of different ages together to celebrate their festivals or ritual where people enjoy music that devotes to god or music which represent their culture. Moreover, young generation prefer to listen hip-hop or pop music, whereas older individuals might enjoy classic music, there are several artist in music industry who make mash-up or songs which consiste both type of music. the one example of this is my grandfather love to hear old music and after i hear that music i can easly relate to their era.
In my opinion, music is the best way to unit people of various culture and ages together accros the world. Music breaks communaction barriers and encourage people to learn about each other culture and tradition.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear from the introduction (“I completely agree”) and conclusion, and you address both cultural and age-related connections. The examples of an international music festival, Indian festivals, and listening to your grandfather’s music are relevant and help support your view. This meets the task well, with some elements showing the fuller development expected at the next level. However, the healing claim is asserted rather than explained, and the festival example mainly shows people gathering rather than how music builds understanding between them. The point about songs combining musical styles is also introduced but not fully illustrated. Develop these ideas with a specific example and explain more explicitly how music brings people together.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs beginning with “Firstly” and “Furthermore,” and a concluding statement. The ideas generally progress from music’s broad appeal to cultural and generational examples, so the reader can follow the argument. Some linking is mechanical, however, with repeated transitions such as “Moreover” and “For example.” Connections between sentences are occasionally unclear, particularly the shift from different age groups’ musical preferences to mash-ups and then to your grandfather’s taste. The final paragraph repeats the central claim rather than adding a distinct concluding insight. Use clearer references and vary how you connect examples to the point they support.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a relevant range of topic vocabulary, including “international music festival,” “religious,” “tradition,” “hip-hop,” and “communication barriers.” These choices help convey the subject and show attempts to use more specific language. However, spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable, including “frquency,” “peroformance,” “reguardless,” “unit,” and “accros.” Some combinations are also unnatural, such as “music that devotes to god” and “beats in music are effect on mind,” which can make meaning less precise. Aim to check spelling carefully and learn common collocations as complete phrases. More precise wording for the effects of music and the way it connects people would strengthen the argument.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a contrast with “whereas” and a relative clause in “songs which consiste both type of music.” This gives the response some structural variety, but control is inconsistent. Errors in verb forms and agreement appear in “science is already prove” and “everyone like”; the sentence about beats also lacks a complete grammatical structure. Articles, plurals, and sentence boundaries need attention, as in “an indian wedding, party and more” and the lowercase “the one example.” These errors sometimes make the reader pause, although the main ideas remain understandable. Practise checking each sentence for a clear subject and verb, correct agreement, and complete punctuation.
