Student answer (Band 5.0)

some people think that music is the good way of bringing people of different cultures and ages together but some people donot like these things because they think there are many other ways of bringing people of culture and ages together.

On the one hand, people used to think that there are many types of music which help People to stay together as a society or a community. People used to enjoy every bit of any kind of musics. They think that if we are living in a same country having a different culture and tradition than why can't we get in touch because of music. we can celebrate every joyful moment, any kind success celebrations with music.Music helps people them to relax there mind and helps them to enjoy every beat of there life with more excitement and with freshment

On the other hand, people disagree with the decision because they think that different age of people have different kinds of music taste which create misunderstanding between the young age people and with our elderly people.Nowdays, for the child there are different kind of rymans songs so the childs are not interested in the genz songs. If we talk about the elderly people than they used to listen the old songs of 90's and some of the genz are not interested in those kinds of 90's songs.

In my point of view,I think that music is not the proper way of bringing of people of different cultures and ages together because i think expect music there are many much more better ways of bringing different cultures people together.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address the topic by discussing music’s potential to connect people and the differences in musical taste between generations, and you give a clear final view that music is not the best way to bring people together. However, the response only partially develops the task: the opening introduces an opposing view, but the body mainly describes general opinions rather than explaining how music does or does not unite people across cultures. The examples about children preferring current songs and older people listening to songs from the 1990s relate to age, but do not show whether people can overcome these differences. Your position also shifts: the first body paragraph supports music, while the conclusion rejects it without explaining the change. Develop your reasons and support your overall position consistently.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a basic structure, with an introduction, two contrasting body paragraphs signalled by “On the one hand” and “On the other hand,” and a concluding opinion. This gives the reader some sense of organisation. However, progression within paragraphs is limited: several sentences repeat that people have different musical tastes or that music helps people enjoy themselves, without building a clear argument. Connections between ideas are sometimes unclear, as in “having a different culture and tradition than why can't we get in touch because of music.” The conclusion introduces the idea that there are “many much more better ways” but does not identify or explain any. Use clearer topic sentences, link each example to your main claim, and make the conclusion follow logically from the discussion.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “culture,” “tradition,” “community,” “music taste,” and “elderly people,” so the general subject is understandable. However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, particularly “people,” “different,” and “music.” There are noticeable problems with word choice, collocation, word forms, and spelling, such as “freshment,” “rymans songs,” “kind success celebrations,” and “many much more better ways.” These sometimes make the intended meaning difficult to follow. Aim for more precise expressions and check spelling and natural combinations of words. For example, describe music as a “shared cultural experience” and explain that musical preferences may “differ across generations.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including a question within a sentence (“why can't we get in touch because of music”) and contrastive structures such as “On the one hand” and “On the other hand.” However, the range is limited, and attempts at complex sentences are often faulty. Errors in articles, agreement, plurals, and sentence boundaries occur frequently: “music is the good way,” “different age of people have,” and “Music helps people them to relax there mind” are examples. Capitalisation and punctuation are also inconsistent, with several sentences joined without appropriate spacing or clear boundaries. Practise building accurate sentences with one main idea and a correctly formed supporting clause, then check articles, subject–verb agreement, and punctuation.
