Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is argued that music has a ability that bringing individual people of differnet traditions and ages togehter. I completely agree with this view because music acts are universal language and connects different generations.
The primary reason why I agree with this is that music has no boundaries in language it is celebrated across the world. For example, korean songs In present gerantion it becomes most popular. every where while srcolling the insta or youtube k-pop is more trending behalf of its language people are used to listen songs in different languages. As a result, which gives more encouragement to music that is more useful to connect to their cultures across the world
Furthermore, music connects with people regradless of their age groups provide another reason to support my argument. This is maily because whenever, the families get to gather, they will play trending songs in present generation sometimes or old classic music both have equally enjoyed by the people .they used to play in many events. For instance, birthday partys ,marriages and festivals, music was always played by these young and old people comes to gether and dance for the music while they forget the age group. Therefore music will always entertain the people.
In conclusion, I completely agree with this view because music has no language barriers it will connect people across the world and their culture.furthermore songs helps different ages groups will be enoy together

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear from the introduction—“I completely agree”—and you give two relevant reasons: music crosses language boundaries and brings age groups together at family events. The examples of K-pop and celebrations help connect your ideas to the question. However, the first example is difficult to follow, and the explanation of how listening to songs in different languages brings cultures together remains general. The second point is also asserted more than developed; explain more specifically how shared music encourages interaction between generations. The conclusion repeats your position but does not add a clear summary of the supporting reasons. The response is 12 words below the required minimum, so it does not fully meet the task’s length requirement. Develop each example with clearer explanation and ensure the response reaches the minimum.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting separate reasons, and a conclusion. Linking expressions such as “Furthermore,” “For instance,” and “Therefore” help signal the direction of the argument. However, progression within the paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow, particularly in the first body paragraph, where the K-pop example, social media, and cultural connection are joined without clear relationships. Some transitions feel mechanical, and the conclusion repeats ideas rather than bringing them together. Referencing is also unclear in places, such as “which gives more encouragement,” where the reader cannot easily identify what “which” refers to. Use shorter, clearly connected sentences and make each example’s link to the main point explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “language barriers,” “generations,” “classic music,” and “festivals,” and you attempt phrases such as “universal language.” This gives you enough basic language to communicate your main ideas. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, which sometimes makes the meaning harder to understand. For example, “music acts are universal language” is not a natural expression, and “more trending behalf of its language” obscures your point about K-pop’s popularity despite language differences. There are also noticeable spelling errors, including “differnet,” “togehter,” and “regradless.” Build a bank of accurate topic phrases and check spelling and word forms carefully before submitting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, and the response includes some subordinate clauses, such as “because music has no language barriers.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors in sentence structure, articles, agreement, and verb forms frequently make sentences difficult to read. For example, “music has a ability” needs an article correction, while “both have equally enjoyed by the people” has an incomplete verb construction. The sentence beginning “For example, korean songs” also lacks clear sentence boundaries, and punctuation is often missing or misplaced. Practise writing complete sentences with one main idea each, then check subject–verb agreement, articles, and verb forms. Greater accuracy in these basic patterns will make your argument much clearer.
