Aditionally, it also helps in exploring different cultures and similarties in past such as sindhi language songs from pakistan are famous in kutch india due to their same past history.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

Your position is clear from the introduction: you totally agree that music can connect people across cultures and ages. You address both parts of the topic in separate body paragraphs and give relevant examples, including Atif Aslam’s popularity across South Asia and a song combining hip-hop with classical music. These examples help make the discussion specific. However, some points are asserted rather than fully explained. For instance, the link between Sindhi songs’ popularity in Kutch and a shared history could be developed by explaining how this shared musical heritage encourages connection. The point about songs concerning resistance and personal freedom is also brief. Extending these ideas and showing more explicitly how they bring people together would make the response more complete.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, two paragraphs addressing culture and age, and a conclusion. The headings make the focus of each body paragraph clear, and examples generally follow the points they illustrate. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow because several ideas are joined in long sentences, particularly the discussion of music crossing borders. Linking expressions such as “For instance,” “Although,” and “Furthermore” are useful, but some connections feel mechanical or do not clearly show how one idea leads to the next. The conclusion also introduces broad claims about music and emotion without clearly drawing together the two main arguments. Use clearer topic sentences and more precise referencing to strengthen the flow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “language gaps,” “classical music,” “hiphop,” “resistance,” and “personal freedom.” These choices allow you to discuss both cultural exchange and differences in musical taste. There are also attempts at more specific phrasing, such as “shared past history,” although this expression is not natural. Noticeable spelling and word-choice errors—such as “tunnes,” “varities,” “similarties,” and “Aditionally”—reduce accuracy and sometimes make the reader pause. Some phrases are also imprecise or repetitive, including “different varieties of different types.” Aim to check spelling carefully and choose more natural collocations, while varying repeated words such as “different” and “people.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt a mixture of simple and complex sentences, including a contrast with “Although old people might be interested in classical music…” and a longer sentence about musical traditions across borders. This shows some range, and the main message is generally understandable. However, some grammatical errors recur. For example, “music helps connects” should use the base verb after “helps,” and “The music is listened and enjoyed” needs a passive construction such as “Music is listened to and enjoyed.” Articles and agreement are also inconsistent in phrases such as “a various cultures” and “it make people feel.” Sentence boundaries and punctuation need attention, especially where clauses are joined with commas. Proofread for verb forms, articles, agreement, and complete sentence structure.
