IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The plans below show a public park when it first opened in 1920 and the same park today.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.5)

The given map represents the changes in grange park in 1920 and now . looking from an overall perspective in 1920 there is a fountain in centre of park and now there is a rose garden with four seats.

In 1920 , looking from the entrance on the left hand side there was seat and rose garden and in the centre of the park there was stage of musicians and one fountain and on right hand side corner there was a pond for water plants and in the down area there was a glasshouse.

Looking from recent times , now from the arnold avenue entrance moving left there is a rose garden and amphitheatre for concerts. In the centre of park there is a rose garden with four seats . On the right hand side there is a cafe and children's play area .One more feature is added that is water feature .
