To begin with 1920s park, there was a fountain on the center of park just behind that, there was a stage for musicians. On the top entrance, two rose gardens were situated side by side. On the corner, small pond water was there specially for plants survival. On the bottom entrance gate, glasshouse was there. On the other hand, another rose garden was located. Conversely, underground parking was constructed to facilitate visitors. Fountain was replaced by modern water feature, that was situated on the right hand near the Eldon street. On the center of park, a substantial rose garden was surrounded by numerous seats. Beyond this, an Amphitheatre was occupied for concerts. Above it, there was another small rose garden. Cafe was launched in modern park on the right hand near the Arnold avenue. Similarly, play area for children was also located there.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
The response covers all key features of the two maps, including the 1920 layout and the current state. You have successfully identified the main changes, such as the addition of the underground parking, the cafe, and the amphitheatre. However, the description is slightly mechanical, listing features rather than synthesizing them into a cohesive comparison. While you mention that the park was more 'spacious' in 1920, more analytical comparisons regarding the shift from a decorative/leisure focus to a more functional/modern facility would have strengthened the response. Overall, the task is addressed well, and the main features are clearly reported.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
The response is logically organized into clear paragraphs: an introduction, an overview, and two body paragraphs detailing the 1920 and current layouts. You use some cohesive devices like 'To begin with', 'On the other hand', and 'Conversely'. However, the use of these devices is sometimes repetitive or slightly unnatural. For instance, the transition between sentences within paragraphs can feel a bit disjointed, as you rely heavily on simple 'On the...' structures. Improving the flow by using more varied linking phrases and ensuring that pronouns or referencing words clearly connect back to the previous sentence would elevate the coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'alterations', 'distributed', 'substantial', and 'facilitate'. There are some minor errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'pond water was there' instead of 'a pond was located' and 'Amphitheatre was occupied' instead of 'an amphitheatre was constructed'. Additionally, there are some minor grammatical errors affecting lexical precision, such as 'a water features' (plural/singular mismatch). While the vocabulary is sufficient to convey the meaning clearly, it lacks the sophistication and precision required for a higher band score. Expanding your range of descriptive adjectives and verbs would be beneficial.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation. Common issues include missing articles ('on center of park', 'on top entrance'), incorrect preposition usage, and subject-verb agreement errors (e.g., 'there was two entrance gates'). While these errors do not impede communication, they are persistent throughout the text. To improve, focus on the correct use of articles (a/the) and ensure that plural subjects are paired with plural verbs. Increasing the variety of complex sentence structures, such as using relative clauses or passive voice more accurately, would also help improve your score in this criterion.
