The plans below show a public park when it first opened in 1920 and the same park today.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 5.5)
The diagram below illustrates a public park when it first opened in 1920 and how it looks in today's time.
Overall, the park has significantly modernised, with sevral facilities has added, while some features have been removed and replaced by other things.
To commence with, on the left hand side of the park, the stage of musicians has been replaced by amphitheatre for concerts. The fountain in the centre has been removed and rose garden with additional setting has been built instead. But, the entrance from arnold avenue has remained in the same position.
On the other hand, the pond for water plant has been replaced by a children's play area, while glasshouse has been demolished to make way for water feature. In addition, a cafe has been constructed near the northen entrance.
