The plans below show a public park when it first opened in 1920 and the same park today.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The two plans illustrate the layout of a public park when it first opened in 1920 and its current design.
Overall, the park has undergone significant redevelopment over the years. While some original features, such as the central rose garden and the main entrances, have been retained, many areas have been modernised with new recreational facilities to meet the changing needs of visitors.
In 1920, the park had a simple and symmetrical layout. A fountain was situated in the centre, surrounded by a rose garden. Four paths extended from the fountain to the entrances located on each side of the park. On the western side, there was a stage for musicians with seating arranged nearby for audiences. In the north-west corner, visitors could enjoy a glasshouse, while the south-eastern corner contained a pond for water plants.
Today, several parts of the park have been transformed. The central fountain has been replaced by a large café, although the surrounding rose garden remains. The stage has been converted into an open-air amphitheatre with expanded seating facilities. The former glasshouse has made way for a children's playground, while the pond has been replaced by a fitness area equipped with exercise machines. In addition, new cycle paths have been introduced around the park, improving accessibility for both cyclists and pedestrians.
Overall, the park has evolved from a traditional public garden into a modern recreational space offering a wider variety of facilities for visitors of all ages.
