The plans below show a public park when it first opened in 1920 and the same park today.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 5.5)
The diagram illustrates a same public park when it was established in 1920 and today.
Overall, it shows there has been a major change in the park by reconstructing the old spots and structure with newer area.
In 1920 the main feature in the park was the fountain at the center with a musicians stage right next to it. The park had 2 entrance way one at the upper side and lower side.To sides next to the entrance of the park were filled with small spots of rose garden (3 of them) with 5 seats around the park total. At the upper corner of the park there was a a small pond for water plants with a glasshouse below it.
Today the park has changed a lot the fountain sopt is replaced with a rose garden and majority of the seats were replaced around it and right opposite to it there is a amphitheatre for concerts in place of musician stage. The entrance paths are the same but there's a addition of a underground car park.1 out the 3 rose garden was removed while the other was replaced with a cafe. Upper corner of the park is reconstructed into a childrens play area with a water feature below it in place of glasshouse.
