Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 150 words, which negatively impacts the score. While you have identified the main features of the park, such as the removal of the fountain and the addition of the amphitheatre, the overview is somewhat underdeveloped. You mention that 'there are number of facilities changed,' but a more precise summary of the overall transformation (e.g., the shift from a more natural, garden-like layout to a more structured, facility-oriented space) would have been more effective. Additionally, the description of the new car park entrance is slightly confusing. To improve, ensure you provide a clear, comprehensive overview and meet the length requirement to fully develop your points.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the progression of ideas. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and occasionally inaccurate. For example, the phrase 'Apart from it' is not a standard transition, and the connection between sentences in the final paragraph is a bit disjointed. While there is an overall arrangement, the flow between sentences could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words and ensuring that referencing (e.g., 'the same place') is clearer. The paragraphing is appropriate, but the internal cohesion needs more refinement to achieve a higher band.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
Your vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks the precision and variety needed for a higher score. You rely on basic terms like 'changed,' 'removed,' and 'new.' There are also some awkward collocations and word choice errors, such as 'map chart illustrate' (should be 'illustrates') and 'in today fountain is remove' (should be 'the fountain has been removed'). To improve, try to incorporate more descriptive language related to urban planning and spatial changes, such as 'replaced by,' 'transformed into,' or 'situated in the vicinity of.' Expanding your range of vocabulary will help you describe the visual data more accurately and naturally.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The response contains a mix of simple and some attempted complex structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('map chart illustrate'), article usage ('at center of map'), and verb tense/form errors ('fountain is remove', 'children's play area build'). Punctuation is also inconsistent. While the meaning is generally clear, these persistent errors in basic grammar prevent the writing from reaching a higher level of accuracy. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and correct verb forms (especially passive voice, which is essential for describing map changes) will significantly improve your writing.
