IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The plans below show a public park when it first opened in 1920 and the same park today.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 5.5)

The illustration displays the public park at the beginning in 1920 and the same park today.

Overall, the park undergoes significant changes from beginning to now. The fountain, glasshouse and pond for water plants had been removed. and water feature, play area and cafe are added to the reconstructed park. Some parts like rose garden and seats position has been changed.

The fountain from the center of the garden has been removed and replaces by rose garden and seats around it. There used to be stage for musicians on the left side which is now converted into amphitheater for concerts which looks better. Glasshouse used to stand on the right side of the park which has been removed and now water feature is added to it. There is also a place for children's play area in the right corner where the pond used to be. Now, entrance underground carpark and cafe facilities is also available for the visitors.
