The plans below show a public park when it first opened in 1920 and the same park today.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 5.5)
The two maps illustrate the of public park before if first opended in 1920 and after the development of various facilities on present days.
Overall, the Grance park has undergone significant redevelpment, with many orginal features being removed or replaced. Furthermore, recreation and commercial facilities have been added including, amphiteatre for concerts, water feature, children play area and cafe, while the entrane remain unchanged.
In the beginnig of the left part of the map, there was a stage for musicians, which was later, demolished and transformed into amphiteatre for concerts with expand area. Moreover, two rose garden was located in 1920 map, however bottom side rose garden has been removed in today map. Additionally, there was a foundation in the middle of park, while a rose garden has been introduced by destroying the foundation.
Looking at the right part of the map, a children's play area has been invented in the top corner of east side, morewhile removing the pond for water plants. The glass house in the 1920 map has been converted into a water feature. Regardly, a new underground park entrance has been constructed in today map. However, the two entrance remained unchanged and located in same loaction as before.
